Britney Spears when I was 9. 98* Played a free concert for my school when I was 10 (we won the Z100 concert thing). TRL Tour when I was 12. Good Charlotte Saturday Night, when I was 14... whcih I still am.

The best was Good Charlotte... Because other that the Britney Concert, they were the only people I liked enough tobuy their albums. The TRL tour sucked. I liked rap then, but it was 102 degrees outside, we had lawn seats and could barely see the stage, and we werent alowed to stand up. Security threatened to throw anyone who stood up out. stupid. And beyonce knowl's singing was so high pitched that the speakers screeched and stuff. They song gospel, which I hated. Nelly was good, good performance and all... But I swear it was retardedly hot.
The GC concert is the only one that I actually got to meet anyone fromt the band from (other than 98* but they werent famous yet, nor did I like them ever... so I didnt really care.) and I got 98* autograph too. But i liek GC much more than I like them, so I liked that better. Plus the show was more fun in general. AND I got pics of me and Joel together, which i didnt with 98*. And I always hated 98* (dont know why) so i spent most of the concert sitting in the corner with the 8th grade boys lol.

Ok. Worst was TRL tour... Best was GC. Britney was kinda bad too, but i liked her then... but she was like... Pole dancing for a 5 year old audience. ew.

Rush with .38 Special March 1980
Jeff Beck in Sept. 1980
U2 in May 1983
Yes in May 1984
Amy Grant in Nov. 1985
Metallica with the Cult in Aug. 1989

Aside from a whole bunch of Christian concerts it was a lean time for shows. Even though Amy Grant was/is a Christian artist, she was promoted as a pop artist (her first crossover tour).

I did get a ticket for the Monsters of Rock tour with Kingdom Come, Metallica, Dokken, the Scorpions and Van Halen, but didn't go.:(

I did go see Stryper in May 1985, as well...

Ah! Oh God! I completly forgot the Beach Boys! LOl. Theyre like..top of my list! LOl
My favorite, would have to be BEACH BOYS, because Ive liked them since I was a little girl. The Monkees were awesome (with Greg Brady haha..which was cool, I love the Brady Bunch lol) because Im into that whole 60s pop music thing. NSYNC, well the No Strings Attached to me was AWESOME, but thats because it was my first concert EVER so I was knew to the whole thing, plus thats when they were like THE BIG THING. Now, Im sick of them, and Celebrity was OK. I didnt know any of the songs and I kept messing with my camera. Britney was whicked awesome too. We were on the side and we didnt even have to stand up or anything. Id see Britney, Beach Boys, and the Monkees again. I wouldnt mind seeing Christina, but I wouldnt freak out or anything.

I've only been to a couple of concerts. I took my Dad to see James Taylor for his birthday last year. It was a pretty good concert. The best part was when he sang Fire And Rain. I know that I am going to sound like the biggest dork, but I had such a great time when I went to see Weird Al. But I am going to see Aerosmith on Dec 15 :guitar:  so that will probably be my favorite. I can't wait.:D

I've been to a ton of shows...I'm very lucky, in my early 20's I worked for a company that got tickets for everything that came through NY/NJ and the company I work for now owns Columbia records so I still get tickets here and there:

The best:

Pink Floyd - better at Yankee Stadium because they can play later than at the arena.
Clapton
Roger Waters
U2 with Alice in Chains
Aerosmith
Rolling Stones
Yes
The Who
Brian Wilson with the LI philharmonic (brilliant show)
Bowie (Tin Machine)
SRV - the year he died

The worst:

Jingle Ball 1994 - You could have read War & Peace in the time it took for each act to come on and when they came on they only did a couple of songs.

Van Halen - Love them but wouldn't pay to see them again without David Lee Roth. Sammy singing Unchained just didn't do it for me.

I'll tell you of a Christian concert that was the BEST and WORST of both worlds: In Sept. 1984, I went to see Steve Taylor and Mylon
LeFevre at the Seattle Center Arena. This was a big Christian concert with two major names (at the time). Steve Taylor was one of the first Christian new wave artists, one who really rocked and had something important to say in his music. He was touring in support of his album "Meltdown" and that place was going CRAZY!!!!! Everyone was dancing in the aisles, whipping it up, and he was just so cool. And yeah, some security chump was making his rounds telling us to sit down and all that...
But we were going nuts to tunes like "Meltdown at Madame Toussaud's", "Steeplechase", "I Want to Be a Clone", "We Don't Need No Color Code", "Over My Dead Body", etc.
And afterward I went out to meet him and buy a button of him--he was so cool, he had both a red and a green sneaker on each foot. I told him I was really excited that he was in a Christian music magazine with the OTHER Christian new wave fiend Lisa Whelchel:D  and he asked me if I had met her. I WIIIIIIIISSSSSSHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! (This was a few years before I met her, I had been the BIGGEST Lisa-fan for a few months at that time). He was really cool and fun to talk to.

But the BAD thing of the concert was with Mylon LeFevre's set, which was mostly Southern Fried soft-pop rock. I had seen him before at Jesus Northwest that summer and thought he was cool and rockin', but this concert now was a big lame disappointment.
He was telling the audience it wasn't appropriate for the Lord to have his children pogoing and going crazy and all that, did a little
"dancing" gesture to prove his point.... He explained he opened for the Who in Seattle in the Coliseum next door about 10 years before, when he was a "prodigal son" type ex-Christian rocker whoe got into drugs and partied with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, and all the big names of rock at that time. (He actually was one of the very first Christian rockers in the late 60's.) But how UN-ROCK & ROLL was this guy, anyway?? Being told we can't dance and go crazy and rock out...:nonono: I didn't pay attention to too much of his show after that....Mylon LeFevre...never.

But STEVE TAYLOR RULED!!!! :guitar: :notworthy
