LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Cable channel GSN has hired actress Kim Coles ("Living Single") and stand-up comedian Judy Gold to host the pilots for its revivals of "The Dating Game" and "The Newlywed Game," respectively.

The shows, which originated in the 1970s, will incorporate modern elements like online dating sites.

"The Newlywed Game" often is identified with Bob Eubanks, who hosted most of the show's incarnations, though Jim Lange, Paul Rodriguez and Gary Kroeger were featured in some editions. "The Dating Game" has been hosted by Lange, Elaine Joyce, Jeff MacGregor, Brad Sherwood and Chuck Woolery.

Judy has that snarky sense of humor so I can see that working for Newlywed Game. I think she could be a good host. Though I'm surprised they didn't ask Bob. That's what worries me, TNG has bombed every time that it's tried to go on without Bob Eubanks.
