Actually the month is not that bad. The 2 Christmas related marathons should be good, Three's Company on like at 11 p.m. in those two marathons. And that new schedule effective tomorrow is not that bad, all they need to do is remove Cosby and Cheers from 12-2a, since it airs 9-11p already.

And I wasn't mad at the TC marathon cause I think it's actually great since it's been shoved in the 3am slot for God knows how long. I'm just griping about Cheers. :smash:

Well, I hope you're right that the specials will be good. Three's Company on earlier, even if it's just for specials is *always* a good thing. I'm not looking all that forward to the new schedule. One episode of Threes Company and CiC while stupid Cosby and Cheers gets 4 episodes a night, and Happy Days and Brady Bunch are already played so many times on other networks. And I still don't see the point to them adding Kids Say The Darndest Things...

I *am* looking forward to November though! The reunion week specials and the Charles in Charge marathon. I haven't actually been this happy to watch Nick at Nite (in primetime) for a LONG time.

I think the show is pretty good. But, it's going to TBS in 2004, so at least we have another several years before it's even considered for going to Nick at Nite.

Specials--
Monday, December 9:
"Holiday Cheer Monday" 9p-12a (Christmas Episodes)
Spend the Christmas holidays with Jack Tripper, Archie Bunker, and the rest of your Nick @ Nite regulars.
(Shows and episodes coming VERY soon)

This has the potential to be watchable; particularly if the ep "Draft Dodger" is aired. UPDATE: Now this 'Holiday Cheer (- s ) thing is watchable to all Archie Fans due to Draft Dodger. Amen.

Wednesday December 18th and repeated on Christmas Day, December 25th:
"Hot Gifts" 9p-1a (Episodes with with extravagant gifts)
Watch your favorite sitcom stars buying gifts for one another, is Jack really buying that coat for Chrissy?

Let's look at them episodes

9:00PM The Brady Bunch "Lost Locket, Found Locket"
Description: An unknown admirer sends a locket to Jan.
9:30PM The Brady Bunch "Amateur Nite"
Description: The siblings try to win money for an anniversary gift.

For all the kids out there, I'll just say that these episodes are righteous in that they teach about love to family, teamwork, sweetness, character development, detective work, and just generally about Brady Life. Now don't let the fact that I've seen these a Jillion Times :D:D:D spoil this for you kids. Seriously, though, has anybody NOT seen these yet? All in all, though, they're all right and out of sight!

10:00PM Cheers "Christmas Cheers"
Description: Sam scrambles to find a Christmas gift for Rebecca.
10:30PM Cheers "Our Hourly Bread"
Description: Rebecca raffles off a Caribbean cruise to boost business.

I'll pass. Not because they're not good episodes, but on account of this show being a cure for insomnia (fell asleep watching a Cheers Marathon during the second episode). For I don't want to miss:

11:00PM All in the Family "Edith Gets a Mink"
Description: Edith's wealthy cousin sends her a mink cape.

This ep isn't too bad as Archie gives a good showing of comedy. And the Dingbat? Well! Let's move on with the 'Master' Jack Tripper

11:30PM Three's Company "The Gift"
Description: Chrissy thinks Mrs. Roper's gift is for her.

Ah a misunderstanding! I gotta watch this one! ALL episodes with the Ropers are very watchable. Maybe they should have gotten their own series (Oh that's right, they did):D:D

12:00AM Coach "Diamonds Are a Dentist's Best Friend"
Description: Hayden buys a discount engagement ring for Christine; guest Tom Poston.
12:30AM Coach "My True Love Gave to Me ..."
Description: Hayden's and Dauber's gifts to the women in their lives get switched.

Now this is more like it. An hour of Coach (N@N gives them a stupid schedule) makes this a must watch for Coach fans.

UPDATE: N@N has rotated Coach to the 11:00 PM EST - 12:00 AM EST time slot with All In The Family taking over the 2:00 AM EST - 3:00 AM EST slot as per the new DEC schedule (see original post). This is Righteous as the schedule now gives COACH the chance to shine for 'some' of December (including Specials). Get them ratings up fans! Call A.C. Nielsen and ask for a rating instrument immediately! And everybody says Amen.

Amen

Friday, December 20:
"Cheers Wildlife Survivial Night"
Nigel Thornberry (voice of Tim Curry) will host an evening of Cheers episodes where the characters try to survive outside the bar.
(Episodes coming soon)

Now I'm gonna comment here on why Nick at Nite loses viewers in a minute. For this "Wildlife Night" sounds INTERESTING. Its a change from the routine of the bar set. But I might not watch it! And here's why.

I also get tired of seeing Cheers 4 times a night on the schedule. Even with a revamped November schedule, COSBY and CHEERS are STILL getting too much air time. New shows can't even get primary slots (9:00 PM EST to 12:00 AM EST) when people would actually be awake! So an INTERESTING idea like 'Cheers Wildlife Night' gets shoved aside because

"I've seen this before sometime." And of course it all goes back to PAVANBADAL DATA, which is Righteous: Take away the later airings of Cosby and Cheers and the schedule is better.

Ah heck call it a B - (The 'FRI-SAT glitch of 'Cosby and Cheers', leading to NO COACH and not starting Single Takes until 3:00 AM EST got Nick at Nite a - mark.)

Otherwise, the DEC schedule and specials are decent. Cut down on Cosby and Cheers and you'll get 'distinction' . And wouldn't that make your Mama proud?

He probably meant the specials. He was hoping for a very special Happy Days Christmas ep where Chuck Cunningham comes back from the 'Black Hole' of TV Living. Or a special Charles in Charge episode in which Santa Claus takes charge of Charles and his buddy...well...Buddy, who was pretty much like Vinton Harper on Mama's Family (slow, dorky, that sort of thing).
