My Three Sons (https://web.archive.org/web/20061031125239/http://www.jumptheshark.com/m/mythreesons.htm) (1960 (https://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/review/35282)–1972) was one of my favorite shows that started out in black and white (https://medium.com/@jkos_writing/10-great-black-and-white-sitcoms-4833783a9e3f) and later switched to color (http://www.tellytalk.net/threads/my-three-sons.9497/). It revolved around a widower (Fred MacMurray) raising his sons with help from first, his late wife’s father and then, the late wife’s uncle. It was a cute show (https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/my-three-sons.677821/), and it was also unique for the time. Many other sitcoms were featuring more traditional mom-dad family units. It was also fairly unique due to how long-running it was. Many sitcoms of the time only lasted for a few years. Five or six years was considered a great run. Twelve years was nearly unheard of. The long-running nature of My Three Sons (https://web.archive.org/web/20140330010016/http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/topic/3211305-my-three-sons/?view=getnewpost) meant it had many amazing episodes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_My_Three_Sons_episodes). I’m about to list five must-watch episodes (https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/3400-my-three-sons-general-discussion/) of the show (https://www.reddit.com/r/ForgottenTV/comments/1i17z0z/my_three_sons_19601972/), but trust me when I say there are many more. In fact, it’s difficult for me to think of any episodes I didn’t like.
