I saw a Happy Days Episode today on TV LAND and Lori Beth was in the episode when Potise was moving back to his parents garage. Potise also was introduced to Lori Beth's friend and I was wondering why was she still on the show and her boyfriend Richie was gone?

She Worked At Arnold As A Waitress, I'm Kinda Glad They Kept Her On. Although I Don't Know Why They Did.

I'm glad that LoriBeth was still on but they could not find anything for her to really do, the same with Potsie.

She was kept on to keep a link to Richie when he was off the show. She wrote back and forth to him and they got engaged. Later she gave birth to his baby. All this kept Richie on the show in some capacity even if TECHNICALLY he wasn't there.

She stayed on the show because she was Richie's fiance. She couldn't go to Greenland with him cause they weren't married yet.

The main point is-She was taking up space on the show since Richie wasn't there. Richie didn't come back until the 1983-84 season-so was Lori Beth on the show up until then? I hope not because that would really be WACKY.

She sounds like she was in desperate need of a job which is probably why the producers was nice enough to keep her on the show. So she was just waiting for Richie for 3 years, What a shame.

She wasn't "just waiting for him for three years". She married him and had his kid. She was kept to establish a link on the show for him. So we could still see Richie get married(in SOME way) and have a kid. She wasn't just some girlfriend who hung around.

I can remember her leaving shortly after giving birth to Richie, Jr.

She wasnt really needed-- I personally couldve cared less (heck, I didnt like her FIRST appearance), but she DID hold the tie with Richie. So I agree on that.

She was okay, She and Richie were made for each other, IMO.
