An I Love Lucy New Year’s Eve:
(Ricky comes home.)
Ricky: “Lucy, I’m home.”
Lucy: “Ricky, how did everything go at the club?”
Ricky: “I got some exciting news. We are having a New Year’s Eve show at the club with Billie Eilish…”
Lucy: “…and…”
Ricky: “And you CAN’T be in it.”
Lucy: “Oh Ricky, why not?”
Ricky: “This is gonna be shown worldwide on the web and TV. I don’t wanna be embarrassed.”
Lucy: “Ricky, I never embarrass you.”
Ricky: “You DUN’T?”
Lucy: “No, I DUN’T.”
(The Mertzes come by.)
Fred: “Hi Rick.”
Ethel: “Hello everyone.”
Lucy: “Ricky is having a worldwide show at the club and he’s denying me to be in it.”
Fred: “That’s because he wants to have a good show.”
(Ricky laughs.)
Lucy: “Ooh.”
Ricky: “Billie Eilish is gonna be there.”
Fred: “Who’s HE?”
Ricky: “She’s a woman.”
Fred: “Billie, a woman? I’m glad I don’t have that name.”
(Crowd laughs heavily due to the inside joke because Fred Mertz is played by Bill Frawley.)
Ricky: “I need a girl to be lowered down and play a guitar. Come on Fred. Let’s go into the kitchen.”
(They do.)
Lucy: “Ethel, I’m gonna get into that act and be that girl unbeknownst to Ricky.”
Ethel: “Oh boy. I’ll help you.”
(They talk it over. Finally on New Year’s Eve, unbeknownst to the boys, Ethel & Lucy are on the catwalk. Lucy is on her harness. She’s is scared and starts drinking beer.)
Ethel: “Lucy, be careful. You may get drunk.”
Lucy: “Don’t worry. I won’t.”
(Meanwhile The boys are in the backstage.)
Ricky: “Billie is gonna be here to perform one of her songs.”
Fred: “Ok.”
(Billie Eilish comes by. Fred’s eyes pop out. Crowd cheers.)
Ricky: “Billie, how are you? This is my friend Fred Mertz.”
Billie: “How do you do?”
Fred: “How DO you DO?”
(Ricky gets slightly embarrassed.)
Ricky: “Fred, don’t push your luck.”
Billie: “I heard so much about your wife from various movie stars.”
Ricky: “Oh.”
(Later on, Lucy gets drunk and Ethel doesn’t notice.)
Ricky (to the crowd at the Club Babalu): “Time to ring in 2025.”
(Lucy starts to be lowered. Unbeknownst to Ethel, Lucy has a beer can full of beer.)
All (yell): “10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…”
