I saw the Episode Today on TV LAND when Chachi accidently burned down Arnold's and they started to rebuild a new Arnold's. In my opinion, The new Arnold's didn't look like a hangout, it looked more like a restuarunt.

View Full Version : Which is better-The Arnold's from 74-79 or the new Arnold's from 80-84? It Didn't Look At ALL Like A Hangout, Like You Said It Was Restuarunt! The Original Arnolds ROCKED! It Was Without A Doubt The Best! Did Ralph, Richie, and Potsie hangout in the new arnold's before the 79-80 season came to a end? Stormtracker TF 10-08-2002, 06:16 PM Yes, But Only A Few Episodes Later Richie And Ralph, Left :crying: TVFactFan 10-08-2002, 06:32 PM Originally posted by TheFonz Yes, But Only A Few Episodes Later Richie And Ralph, Left :crying: I just saw that it was only 7 episodes left after the new Arnold's was built so Richie and Ralph didn't spend too much time in the new Arnold's Stormtracker TF 10-08-2002, 06:36 PM Nope, Now Joanie, Chachi, Jenny ect. Is A Different Story Though! Cactus Jack 10-08-2002, 06:45 PM Originally posted by TheFonz Yeah I Saw It Today Too! It Didn't Look At ALL Like A Hangout, Like You Said It Was Restuarunt! Yeas, it is a dif.. story with joanie chach and jenny but VERY good eps. still just not as good and funny, and Potsie still hansg around on 1980, but is not as funyn as he is when with Ralph! So who was Potsie hanging with in the New Arnold's with when the 80-81 season started? Cactus Jack 10-08-2002, 06:51 PM Himself, myabe fonzie amd some of thew new ones but basically himself *Melissa* 10-08-2002, 06:59 PM I definitley prefer the original Arnold's. You guys are right, the new one just didn't have the same atmosphere as the original. When the introduced the new Arnold's, it was like a start of a new era (one I didn't like as much). It was kind of like "Happy Days; the Next Generation," since it started to focus on the younger characters. But I digress... Anyways... 74-77 are my favorites 78 & 79 are pretty good too. The new Arnolds sucked....but hey...blame Chachi!:p Restless 10-09-2002, 12:06 AM Without a doubt, the original Arnold's. You'll notice, it even changed a little between season two and three, when they went to a live audience.. It may have changed a little between season two and three, but it stii maintained the look of a hangout rather than a restarunt Restless 10-09-2002, 01:32 AM True. animalcrackers 10-09-2002, 08:32 AM I'm a sentimental person, I missed the old Arnolds. Way to go, Chachi! ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 10-11-2002, 02:37 PM Originally posted by animalcrackers Way to go, Chachi! Finally..someone on the same level as me.:p Im sentimental too..that episode always gets to me!!! astro_smurf 11-02-2002, 12:49 AM I liked the old Arnold's the best. The old one looks more like it was from the 1950s. The new Arnold's look more like a fancy restaurant from the 1980s. Crystal:happyface Cactus Jack 11-02-2002, 01:30 AM I agree! Crystal:happyface THat is so true-The new hangot looks like a RESTARUNT-not a hangout at all. dlemond 11-04-2002, 11:52 AM I was curious to see if someone thought that the new Arnolds was the best, but apparently everyone has taste here. When I think of the new Arnolds I just shudder and wish someone had a brain and just ended the show with some dignity. iluvfonzie 11-04-2002, 12:07 PM I like em both just fine. I don't waste my time worrying about what the restaurant looks like, just where's my honey Fonzie. Stormtracker TF 11-04-2002, 03:23 PM Originally posted by iluvfonzie I like em both just fine. I don't waste my time worrying about what the restaurant looks like, just where's my honey Fonzie. the fist arnolds looked 1955ish and the new one looked 1960s-ish to me it show that the show had moved to a new decade the 1960s insted of the 1950s I liked them both, but in two totally different ways. FonzForever 11-16-2002, 10:09 PM I liked the old Arnold's better, but I have to admit with the cast changes it probably worked better for the remainder of the show. White_Daisy 11-16-2002, 10:11 PM I think the point when the show started to suck was when Arnold's was rebuilt. White_Daisy 11-16-2002, 10:11 PM of course, Happy Days could never suck! TVFactFan 11-16-2002, 10:36 PM Originally posted by White_Daisy I think the point when the show started to suck was when Arnold's was rebuilt. I agree-Also as the new Arnold's was being built, Richie and Ralph was getting ready to leave the show. And we all know when they left the show, Happy Days went downhill Cactus Jack 11-16-2002, 10:45 PM Yep! It really did when Richie and Ralph left the shw was called Days ( not really, but u know what I mean lol ) White_Daisy 11-16-2002, 10:45 PM actually...even though the show went down, I like the New Arnold's. See it sorta looks like the diner I hang out in with my friends (then again, I live in prepsville). And I have plenty of fun in there with my friends! Brian 11-17-2002, 01:25 AM I like the original Arnolds better. I guess that's because I like the earlier seasons better (especially with Ron Howard) |
