well - i'm certain that some of their bits are pretty funny if you're there, live and in person, but seeing them years later, they're dated. even sometimes watching them at home i wonder who really thinks some bits are actually funny.

on the other hand, that time of night isn't prime television time so even if the show is mediocre, it's not going up against anything else significant. even this "lose" is actually a win for snl, really.
