That wasn't by my purpose to post twice at same time, but somehow during processing to post, this was posted twice at same time.

View Full Version : why have my posts been automatically posted twice? tenter 05-28-2024, 09:20 AM That wasn't by my purpose to post twice at same time, but somehow during processing to post, this was posted twice at same time. TJ 05-28-2024, 11:54 AM Are you clicking on the Submit Reply or Submit New Thread button twice? It seems to happen more often in the morning and with longer posts for some reason. The BirthdayBot has glitched a few times with multiple threads. tenter 05-28-2024, 03:34 PM I think I clicked submit reply...twice? The processing for submitting seems to take little longer.. maybe that's why stevea 05-28-2024, 10:58 PM The Quick Reply posts, the ones that hit some timer and don't go in right away, go to a redirect message, and eventually you see the post. These are the ones that sometimes double post. That's been like that for years. Just delete the duplicate when you see it happen. Dude111 05-28-2024, 11:30 PM I try not to click twice, even if it doesnt respond because most times my message has hit the database,it just doesnt respond right away........ Hawkee 05-29-2024, 04:44 AM You probably double clicked reply when trying to post and when you posted your message again it will tell you that your message is already on the boards. I know it happened to me once when it was taking a long time to post my messages Glad to be helpful Tenter Hawkee rusty spike 06-08-2024, 05:18 AM When you post a response that rocks, you see it twice. stevea 06-08-2024, 06:19 AM When you post a response that rocks, you see it twice. Yesterday I didn't have many posts, and I had some of them double-post. Also, I don't hit submit reply twice. I almost always use "Quick Reply," and this double post problem occurs when the Quick Reply times out, and goes into this long, drawn out wait. It'd be interesting to know why the Quick Reply sometimes times out, which then sometimes results in a double post.
