One of the first Japanese athletes to compete in the Olympics disappeared during the 1912 marathon. He later made the Guiness Book of Records for longest completion time: 54 years, 8 months, 6 days, 5 hours, 32 minutes, and 20.379 seconds. During the time of all those decades when clock for the first marathon would later be ticking, he also competed in the 1920 and 1924 Olympics. :lol:
