In "Baby Fat," Season 4, Episode 29, Rob agrees to help Alan, and Alan tells him, "You're a person." To me, it sounds like the line originally had to be, "You're a mensch," but it got changed. This is soon after "Bupkis," Season 4, Episode 24, where Rob rattles off a few Yiddish words in addition to Bupkis.

Does it seem the line originally had to be "You're a mensch"? If so, why would it have been changed? Too much Yiddish too close together? Is Alan supposed to be non-Jewish? Something else?
