View Full Version : Was the nickname "Tootie" ever explained on the Facts of Life? TVFactFan 09-07-2002, 10:10 AM Does anyone know if the character "Tootie ever explained on any episode why her nickname was tootie? I know her real name on the show was Dorothy but i don't think she was ever called dorothy but none of the girls or Mrs. Garret. JoPol_wannabe 09-07-2002, 10:39 AM I don't remember which ep it was but Tootie said or she tryied to explain why she is called Tootie but she didn't tell the whole story because the person she was telling was getting annoyed her's what she said, that she didn't like the name dorothy and so since dorothy had to o's in it that's why or that's as far as she go. But in the ep Summer of 84 she wanted the girls and Mrs G to call her Dorothy but that didn't work out but in the reunion show she made sure they called her Dorothy.
