Hey there Happy Days fans!
My name is Jeff Koch, and I work for Playing Mantis, maker of Johnny Lightning diecast cars. We're looking at making a line of Happy Days-related vehicles in 1/64 scale (about 3 inches long), and I was hoping to enlist your help.
Other than Fonzie's bike (the make and model of which elude me) and a T-bucket I recall seeing in the opening credits of some seasons ... I cannot recall anything. I also vaguely remember Mr. C talking about his Hudson (Or was it a DeSoto?) fondly, but don't know if we ever got to see it. I recall a demolition derby episode as well, unless I'm dreaming. Clearly my memory on this is spotty, so I'm turning to the experts. What cars were visible in particular episodes of Happy Days?
I don't want to go generic "period" cars, like some other larger-scale Happy Days vehicles have been--I want to make these as authentic as possible. Can anyone forward me screen grabs or positively identify cars as seen in Happy Days' ten-year run? Please help us keep the memory of Happy Days alive! Respond to this post, or you can email me directly at jkoch@playingmantis.com.
My thanks in advance for your help in this endeavor!
