Looks like future of food production is here. U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) green-lighted two brands to make cell-grown chicken for consumers. The two California-based companies, Upside Foods and Eat Just Inc., can now commercially produce and sell chicken grown from cells.
Commonly referred to as lab-grown chicken, the official term is cell-cultivated chicken. Technicians by providing consistent temperature and moisture levels that mimic the body of a chicken, can grow and multiply chicken cells in a culture dish taken from a live chicken. Which mean one don't have to kill the chicken to have a chicken sandwich for dinner.
Because of production cost, cultivated-chicken meat will only be available in fine-dining setting at first before launching mass production as production cost lowered.
