There's a good UK sitcom, Upstart Crow, that's 3 seasons. It's a satire on the life of Shakespeare, similar to Blackadder. Others would be Father Ted and The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.

Edit: The Adam West Batman was nominated for Emmys in the comedy categories.

The only one I'm familiar with is No. 1 on the sitcom list. I don't think there would ever be a remake, at least not set in the 1970s. Somehow it just wasn't cool to be stupid anymore in the Thatcher-Reagan era.

Way too many remakes today of classics that shouldn't have been messed with at all such as Matlock (just the ads alone for it have been icky) and a TV-MA Perry Mason. :rolleyes: I know you're on another continent, but you haven't heard of Gilligan's Island? :eek:

Please Don't Eat the Daisies was on for three seasons.Funny show.good cast !! Movie was great.too with excellent stars.

Also,Mayberry RFD (Rural Free Delivery) !! Good spinoff show !!

Edit: The Adam West Batman was nominated for Emmys in the comedy categories.The Britcoms sound worth checking out, my PBS affiliate needs more variety.. I tried Batman when the Hub network was starting, it just didn't interest me.

No, but I haven't had a television for many years.
