I have always loved the green-stained front doors. I do not think I have ever seen any other home or set using this idea. Have you?

That was a popular door color in the early 70s. I have seen it on interior doors in the early 70s but cant recall if I've seen it on an exterior door.

When new neighbors moved in next-door to my family's house in 1971, they changed the house's exterior color from grey to green. Also in those years, avocado green was a popular color for kitchen appliances. We had a green fridge for years & years. I've not seen very many green residential exterior doors though.

Yes. Yellow phones in the kitchen was the trend. We had one and yellow wallpaper to match. We also had a groovy avocado green linoleum floor :)

In her last house my grandmother had a yellow rotary dial phone on the kitchen wall.

You couldn't miss it--my aunt had painted the kitchen an aqua color--even the cabinets.
