In this video, I take a look back at the short lived TV series "Just the Ten of Us" (https://web.archive.org/web/20061031125210/http://www.jumptheshark.com/j/justthetenofus.htm).
I had already posted this in the Growing Pains forum, but since it concerns Just the Ten of Us (https://www.reddit.com/r/sitcoms/comments/1bw0b51/just_the_ten_of_us_19871990/) too, I might as well post it here as well:

Allegedly, Bob Iger (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/1997/06/23/228048/index.htm), who at the time was the head of programming at the ABC network, didn't like the show (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094490/reviews/). This was coupled with Miller-Boyett Productions, who had already been producing Perfect Strangers, Full House, and Family Matters for ABC, wanting the the TGIF block all by themselves (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094490/reviews/). And Just the Ten of Us (https://www.reddit.com/r/Xennials/comments/15lu788/who_remembers_just_the_ten_of_us/) was the only show on the TGIF block that wasn't produced by them. So ABC (http://www.thetvratingsguide.com/2017/12/tvrgs-beyond-tv-grave-abcs-just-ten-of.html) for whatever the reasons (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l1zOFhTNBM), cancelled Just the Ten of Us (https://www.reddit.com/r/TGIFsitcoms/comments/1gfftb5/one_of_tgifs_early_hits_just_the_ten_of_us_was/), and filled the Friday night, 9:30 p.m. slot with the Miller-Boyett produced Going Places, which only lasted for a single season.
