Merry Christmas!

I had just finished watching the Christmas episode of GA tonight, and maybe someone can answer this….

Why was it, that almost all of Oliver’s lines were dubbed? It’s easy to tell that the sound of his voice didn’t blend in with the others’ voices.

Is there a story behind this? Was he too sick to talk during the original filming, did a lip-synch for it, then was dubbed on when he was better?

The difference was quite noticeable—almost creepy. Any answers?

Yep. Eddie Albert had a cold during filming, and the producers thought it best for him to dub all his lines in post production. This was probably due to the time-sensitive nature of a Christmas episode.

I agree, it was sort of strange and disorienting.
