People referring to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups as "Reese's Pieces." Two entirely different things, people!

People referring to CD's or DVD's as "tapes."

People referring to a TV show as a "movie."

People referring to Andy Griffith as "Andy Griffon." I've heard at least four people do this.

People calling Sherwin Williams (paint) Sherman Williams (who knows where that comes from?)

Local radio ads for a retirement investment advisor who insists anyone who does their ads for the correct time to apply for Social Security, pronounce social "sosul". There is nothing in the dictionary to indicate any secondary pronunciation of that word, AND I've never heard anyone else say it that way.

It's bothering me more, people who make general blanket statements about this or that....like Everybody does it, Everybody eats this or that....

Say, many or a lot or even most, but Everybody/Everyone.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
