It seems odd that she likes kids, is bright, and attractive, and never got married before she worked for the Bradys. In her youth, she would have done a lot better than Sam.

In one of the Brady Bunch movies, she mentions that he had a fling with another woman. stevea 10-11-2022, 10:00 AM And Alice announced they were engaged at the end of the episode where all the Bradys thought they were going to elope. Wawwie 10-11-2022, 10:18 AM And Alice announced they were engaged at the end of the episode where all the Bradys thought they were going to elope. At that point, I thought she said they were not even engaged yet. stevea 10-11-2022, 01:47 PM At the very end, when she came in and the Bradys had arranged a surprise party (because they thought she and Sam were going to elope) she said they were engaged. AFAIK there was never another mention of it during the series (but there were only a few episodes left anyway). On Wikipedia it says she mentioned in a 1981 movie that they had been married 3-1/2 years. Wawwie 10-11-2022, 02:38 PM At the very end, when she came in and the Bradys had arranged a surprise party (because they thought she and Sam were going to elope) she said they were engaged. OK, I didn't remember about that. On Wikipedia it says she mentioned in a 1981 movie that they had been married 3-1/2 years. Yes, I remembered that. opus 10-11-2022, 04:06 PM And Alice announced they were engaged at the end of the episode where all the Bradys thought they were going to elope. Are you sure? This is the end of that ep, no mention of an engagement that I can hear. (I have no idea why the end of a Brady Bunch episode is age restricted and can only be seen on YouTube) mtO_GXt3CNI https://youtu.be/mtO_GXt3CNI stevea 10-11-2022, 04:25 PM I went on Youtube and got the same thing--a TV-14 rating. BB TV-14? For real? I was going on memory and the episode list on Wikipedia says it, too (and of course they're NEVER wrong!) I'll see if I can find the episode. I know I have one of the seasons on DVD, but I can't remember which one. BestTVever 10-11-2022, 06:14 PM We find out during A Very Brady Christmas that Sam dumps Alice after marriage DJM77 10-11-2022, 07:58 PM It seems odd that she likes kids, is bright, and attractive, and never got married before she worked for the Bradys. In her youth, she would have done a lot better than Sam. She was attractive? opus 10-11-2022, 10:37 PM She was attractive? Well she was no cousin Emma, but Alice still a hottie. stevea 10-11-2022, 10:46 PM Well she was no cousin Emma, but Alice still a hottie. Yeah, Emma was a babe compared to Alice. Anybody could see the difference. stevea 10-26-2022, 08:05 PM Are you sure? This is the end of that ep, no mention of an engagement that I can hear. OK, the mystery is solved. No mention of an engagement during the surprise party near the end. But in the tag scene: Alice is in the living room talking to Mike and Carol, after Sam's cousin's so-called elopement: Alice: Cousin Clara never looked prettier. It was the nicest elopement I ever went to. Carol: Boy, it must have been, to have moved you so. Alice: Even Sam was affected. We're engaged. Carol: Alice, congratulations! When's the big day? Alice: Well, I've got that pretty well pinned down now; the place, the hour, the date; there's just one thing he won't commit to. Mike: What's that? Alice: The century. Wildchats 11-01-2022, 04:34 AM Yes, she mentioned in 1981 in the Brady Girls Get married she was married a few years earlier...maybe 1977 or so she got married to Sam. I feel had they known it was gonna end in season 5, they would have married them off. Season 6 for sure if they had one that would have been in advance to them the final one as Robert Reed wanted off and it was just gonna be so bad had he not returned. damon strong 11-04-2022, 10:44 AM If she had married Sam, her new surname would have been Franklin. His surname was mentioned in a Season 5 episode. Wildchats 05-01-2023, 11:19 AM In The Brady's On The Move, Alice is walking towards the Brady house and a neighbor is surprised and goes "Alice....Franklin!" So, yeah, she DID marry Sam. She married Sam after 1974. Most likely in the late 1970s. |
