Man: Ms. Ramsey, my name is General Richards. This is General Jackson and General Lee, and this is the Chaplain Father Mulkahee. Ma'am your fiance was on a mission and somethings went wrong. I'm sorry to say that he has been wounded. We don't yet know the extent to his injuries as the reports are still coming in.

I can however, tell you that he has been flown to the nearest carrier and they will send us an update on him as soon as they know anything else.

If your reading this, something has happened to me. I hope and pray it is nothing serious so that I can be back in your arms soon.

I never thought I'd be sitting here writing another letter like this. The difference is that this time there is actually someone I care deeply about that might actually read this. Before the only people I would write to was some friends in my unit.

Tootie, I'm sorry I've been really stupid. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I keep running the other way. I guess it's because I'm scared, scared that I'll lose you. All my life everytime I get close to somebody they end up dieing. You've come close a couple of times but you are still there.

Now, here I am staring death in the face. If something happens to me I want you to know why. You deserve to know, even if the military wants this to be hush-hush. I've known too many people who have died on a mission and their family never knew what really had happened to them, so here's the story.

About two months or so ago there was a mission to go and rescue some important people that some country had taken (I have no idea who or where, that's not important). Anyway, during the mission one marine was shot and thought to be dead when he fell off the chopper after being shot. They would have tried to recover him at that time but they were under orders to get these other people out the area. They tried to go back to retrieve him but they never could find him. They kept this all hush-hush.

Anyway, about a week ago, they got confirmation that he was alive and was being held in Libya. They needed the best team possible and somebody who knew the area. That's where I came in. I know the area because I have done many....."training sessions" there. So General Rishards called me up and said they needed my help. At first I said no, until he told me who it was. It was James Conrad. Jimmy and I were like brothers. After I joined the corps, he took me under his wing and treated me as his brother. He and his family invited me for every holiday there ever was. I couldn't say no to Jimmy.

I hope you understand all of this Tootie. I wouldn't have done this except that I owed him...alot. He saved my life on many occassions. I couldn't turn my back on him now.

The day I was in the car accident, I had just found out about Jimmy. Infact I had just gotten off the phone with Karen, his wife and I was on the way back to the hospital to talk to you. I kept putting the General off and off about giving him an answer until I found out that they had already but Jimmy on trial as a spy and were going to execute him. They had not yet set a date but it was going to be soon. I couldn't let that happen. He was the closest person I had to a family besides you and the kids. I was torn between being with you or saving Jimmy's life.

I knew you would be in good hands with Mrs. Garrett, Jo, Blair, and Natalie; but Jimmy didn't have anybody. I hope you understand all of this.

If you can't, then I hope that the thought of you being on my mind right now comforts you. I don't want to hurt you, and that will help me keep going if I am only wounded. You will be on my mind until I get home. You being there waiting for me will give me the strength to keep fighting. If I am dead then I can guarantee you, YOU were my last thought that I had on this earth. I love you and miss you.

Well I thought we could add an extra character in the mix and character could be angel and whenever the girls get down in the dumps the angel could help comfort them and give them advice. I just think it would spice up and make the story a little bit more interesting.

Gen R: Ms. Ramsey, this is General Richards. I just got off the phone with the ships Captain that Alex was taken to. Alex is in stable condition now. He has a broken arm, dislocated shoulder and several cracked ribs, but he will be fine. He has however, had some temporary hearing loss. The doctors said they don't know how temporary it will be. It will just have to be taken one day at a time. He will stay on the ship for a few more days to get his strength up and then they will fly him back home. I just wanted to let you know. It's just that sometimes...people that suffer with depression...umm...let me think about how i can put this...Oh okay, sometimes people that suffer with depression, like myself, feel like no one cares. And right now I know you, the girls, and my kids care...but i need more than that. And that's where Stephen comes in. He's helping me to see that someone other than you and the girls and my kids can care about me...

*puts the note back down and takes a blank peice of paper and writes tootie a note explaining that he had to go away for a few weeks but he'll be back soon. He ends it w/ an "I love you" and his signature and walks out locking the door behind him*

So you ARE running from something...listen, you don't know if he's still hurt or not...he could be fine. The only way to know that, is to go back, and wait for him to get home, and find out.
