Here's my attempt to rank the greatest songs of Jim Seals and Dash Crofts, just going by which ones i still enjoy most:

1. We May Never Pass This Way (Again) (1973)

2. Summer Breeze (1972)

3. Get Closer (1976)

4. Diamond Girl (1973)

5. I'll Play for You (1975)

6. Hummingbird (1973)

Some of my absolute favorite songs of my childhood. These guys were outstanding singers/songwriters and instrumentalists/musicians.

East Of Ginger Trees is a pretty good Seals and Crofts song, it's the "B" side of the Summer Breeze 45 RPM single.

I really like this TV theme from 1978--S&C version, open and close, starts around 1:51.

I also like England Dan and John Ford Coley. I thought both Jim and Dan Seals were equally talented.

Thanks for all of the replies.

I like England Dan & John Ford Coley a lot too; these are their monster hits in no particular order -- tough for me to rank:

Nights Are Forever Without You
Love Is the Answer
We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again
It's Sad to Belong
I'd Really Love to See You Tonight

I'm going to try to catch more of their live performances on YouTube.

I agree. Dan is another Seals--Jim's brother.

Bump

I've really enjoyed listening to a lot of Seals & Crofts lately, so I'll try a new ranking:

1. Summer Breeze (1972)
2. Get Closer (1976)
3. We May Never Pass This Way (Again) (1973)
4. Diamond Girl (1973)
5. Hummingbird (1973)
6. I'll Play for You (1975)
7. King of Nothing (1974)

Here's my 1st attempt to rank England Dan & John Ford Coley's great hits:

1. Love Is the Answer (1979)
2. I'd Really Love to See You Tonight (1976)
3. We'll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again (1978)
4. Nights Are Forever Without You (1976)
5. It's Sad to Belong (1977)

(I was a little older when I first heard songs like "Get Closer" and "Love Is the Answer," so that factors into how highly I regard them.)

Rest in peace brothers Dan and Jim Seals

But as per my past answer, all S & C songs are great!

Isn't Diamond Girl that song that starts with the lyrics,
"Diamond Girl"
"You Sure Do Shine"
"Such A Rare Thing Radiant Child"
I remember Diamond Girl as one of Seals and Crofts's biggest hits but for some reason Summer Breeze is one of Seals And Crofts popular songs because R&B singers sample it all the time and The Isley Brothers covered Summer Breeze. And Dan Seals had a solo career with his first single Bop in the 80's

Summer Breeze always lifts me up. Trying to think of another good one that's in the back of my mind.
