Not that much of an age difference, but it is one. Bob should have been in his early 30s in the ninth season and Mindy should’ve been in her early 20s.

For whatever reason, this show almost always had boyfriends who were far, far older than the girls. A decade older, on average, I would guess. In the first few seasons, the boyfriends were played by adult men, which is kinda gross and totally different from modern standards.

To the show's credit though they did fool us. I never thought, "Oh, Steve and 'Romeo' must be in their 20s." :eek:

At the time these show were originally shown, I thought that none of the boys that I went to school were as buff as Romeo and Steve the Delivery Boy. They both were at least 21 when they appeared on the Facts of Life.

Really? There were definitely some jocks at my school and some muscular guys (big school). But Steve and Jason always seemed natural to me because they "read" so young.
