Yesterday and today so far I haven't been getting any messages in my email. I checked my preferences and I have it marked to get messages. Why would they stop all of a sudden?

I've been receiving them. Maybe your ISP has started to block them. It looks like you are using Comcast like I am. They could be getting filtered into your spam/junk folder. Make sure you have whitelisted our domain.

Sometimes they will get blocked or blacklisted for a few days. Try an alternate e-mail address and forward it to your Comcast address.

Some days I get some and some days none...I guess you refer to replies to posts...

I tried an alternate address(G-Mail) but the posts didn't go there either. Like you say maybe they will be back in a few days. Nothing was in my trash or spam folders.

Ok, dumb question? How do I whitelist this domain?

It depends on what e-mail client you use. I use Eudora. I'm able to mark e-mails as not junk. It automatically whitelists any e-mail addresses that are added to my address book.

The issue isn't with the e-mails being sent to spam/junk. They were being blocked entirely by Cloudmark, which added our IP address to their blocklist. Cloudmark is used by Comcast and other ISPs to filter out spam. I guess if enough people mark the notifications as spam, they add you to their blocklist.

I've submitted a ticket to their support system. They said they will be resetting it and removing our IP address from their blocklist, so the e-mails should start flowing again soon.

I don't know what this means Penny, I hardly ever get post emails ... now and then I do but otherwise no. What is the big deal ....I go to check posts and see what's new. I often get what restaurant you last ate at and I don't eat out anymore, so NEVER even reply in that thread...ummmm

I filled out Cloudmark's reset form (https://csi.cloudmark.com/en/reset/) again. If people continually mark the e-mails that they've signed up for from our IP address as spam, I'm not sure what more I can do at this point. These e-mails are the only ones sent from our server. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If these e-mail notifications are that important to you, you might consider using an alternate Gmail or Yahoo e-mail address. They would be less likely to be blocked. I have all of my Gmail forwarded to my Comcast e-mail address.

I tried using g mail the last time that this happened but the messages did not go there either. I will try it again. Thanks TJ!

I meant to use a Gmail address in your profile on here. You can then forward your Gmail to Comcast.

I changed to Gmail here and this time it worked. I received a message.

I might have to find a way to turn off the automatic Happy Birthday e-mails. People are marking them as spam.

I just got a slew of emails on Games posts that I don't even play, so I just delete delete delete, and while I was there deleted 100's in my Inbox...oh the clutter. Well, I pay Verizon $15/mo for technical
help and just went thru about 30 minutes of getting rid of close to 4000 old emails I had NO NEED FOR... boy does this feel good. And talking to the tech who is 33 is of my political thinking, we had a good conversation as he took over my computer....... and did his work.

Didn't you complain about them going to your spam folder last year? https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=398331

You can turn off the e-mail notifications in the User CP. You don't have to get them for every thread.

I wish people who use fake or inactive e-mail accounts would turn them off. Tens of thousands of e-mails bounce back to our server as undeliverable.

Yes, TJ I did get a lot of Games responses in Spam and then didn't get hardly any for a while, now I don't get any from Politics and other groups.

I only have 1 email address so don't use any others. I'll have to go in there and see what I can undo. Thanks much.

TJ: I made some changes as you said to and no post emails so far, I just didn't know how to "change settings"...Thanks again. I check areas that are my interest daily anyway.
