TMZ reports Sagal was in a crosswalk Thursday when a Tesla making a left turn apparently didn't see her and hit the actress, who's currently appearing on The Conners. TMZ reports her injuries weren't serious and she's expected to be released soon.

The Sons of Anarchy creator made light of Sagal recovering after a Tesla hit her on Thursday when she was walking, sending her to the hospital. "She’s the only one bringing in money right now… so I’ll be picking her up from the hospital later, taking her to that Dancing With the Stars audition. #fingerscrossed," he wrote on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/CVEEuLEha2O/).

I didn't know this until just now but Katey's father, Boris Sagal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Sagal) was killed (https://www.nytimes.com/1981/05/24/obituaries/boris-sagal-58-movie-director-dies-after-a-helicopter-accident.html) in a horrific helicopter accident (https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/local/1981/05/24/boris-sagal-tv-film-director-dies/cd87a03c-ac65-470a-b47d-9389c2e2e66b/) back in 1981 (https://www.upi.com/Archives/1981/05/23/Film-director-Boris-Sagal-58-was-fatally-injured-fatally/2019359438400/):
Sagal was killed in an accident during production of the miniseries World War III, when he was partially decapitated by walking into the tail rotor blades of a helicopter in the parking lot of the Timberline Lodge in Oregon. An investigation revealed that he turned the wrong way after exiting the helicopter. He died five hours later in a Portland hospital.
