I think that just before he was stricken with his heart attack, Redd was literally doing an interview for Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous before he was asked by one the producers to rehearse once more, much to Redd's annoyance.

i heard it was either Entertainment tonight or Lifestyles with the rich n famous not sure which one if one of them producers left him alone n do that interview, im hoping he stil be around today or least a few more years

It recently occurred to me that Redd Foxx (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfeJMeie9Fc) would've turned 100 years (https://twitter.com/MoorInformation/status/1601290166273875968) of age this past December. I vaguely recall in his final interview, he mentioned that in about a month and some time, he'll turn 70. Considering that Redd was a chain smoker (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0694059/trivia/#:~:text=While%20Fred%20does%20quit%20smoking,smoker%20and%20never%20did%20quit.) and dabbled with cocaine (http://www.tvparty.com/mysfoxx3.html), it is sort of a mild miracle that he was able to live relatively long as he did (but not long enough (https://www.quora.com/What-may-have-caused-Redd-Foxxs-fatal-heart-attack-in-1991) for the sake of The Royal Family).
