View Full Version : IFC schedule changes
Starts September 1st.
What's leaving: Movies (Afternoons, evenings, and nights only)
What's new: Two And A Half Men
The movies will still be on the schedule, but they will just be in the early morning.
tenter 08-15-2021, 05:41 PM Do you know if Two and a Half Men will be losing TVLand rights?
icecream 08-15-2021, 05:58 PM Do you know if Two and a Half Men will be losing TVLand rights? That would be nice. Then M*A*S*H can replace Two and a Half Men on weekends.

That would be like moving out of a trailer to move back in with your mom.
BigManMike 08-15-2021, 09:26 PM IFC has shown Two and a Half Men in the past. They must have just been giving it a rest lately and now are going to show it again.
icecream 08-15-2021, 09:33 PM That would be like moving out of a trailer to move back in with your mom.M*A*S*H is a fantastic show. Its series finale still holds the record for highest rated non-sports telecast ever. Two and a Half Men is total garbage, those shows are nowhere close to the same league.

This channel lost it's identity years ago and bit the shark as the saying goes.

IFC has been showing it on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. This is for Wednesdays only.

No, but they do show the Film Independent Spirit Awards though.

Lots of channels lost their identities long time ago, MTV isn't a music channel anymore, more like Miscellaneous Television, I don't think History or Science Channel are even correct either.
Starting September 4th, 3rd Rock From The Sun will be replacing Scrubs. This will just be Saturdays until September 25th, and Scrubs will still be on weekdays.
Starting Sunday, October 3rd
What's leaving: The Three Stooges and Movies
What's back: Saved By The Bell

There's a commercial that's currently playing where it says coming soon and it plays some of the theme song.
Starting January 2nd:
What's returning: Saved By The Bell and Movies
Starting January 4th:
What's leaving: Movies (except for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays)
IFC won't be showing movies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays anymore except for the weekends and they will be replaced with shows instead.
Community is gone from the lineup after December 27th and will be replaced with Three's Company.
mets82 12-22-2021, 01:24 AM On a side note, I don't think IFC has jumped the shark. There one of the few channels that show a movie with swearing intact.
AMC recently showed National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation uncensored.
Starting on January 22nd, Portlandia and Kids In The Hall are returning to the schedule.

A sign I'd take of IFC jumping the shark is it only showing movies on weekends after having been a rerun farm for the past few years.
tenter 07-13-2022, 03:42 PM Don't know if there is a thread for this, but
For what I noticed these shows that are now airing: Threes Company, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Everybody Loves Raymond, Two and a Half Men, Scrubs, Gilligan's Island, Parks and Recreation, Saved by the Bell, and movies..
Starting October 2, IFC will be cutting back on the airings on Saved By The Bell. On the days when the show won’t be airing, movies will take its place.
