Why the hell would jack decide to start working for a restaurant under another name? Was Angelino going to pay him in cash? I'm sure he had to fill out a w-4 form and give the job a copy of his ID to put in his file

And then when one of the men came to Angelino's looking for David Miller, he says to Jack............."Are you David Miller?"

Shouldnt he know what david miller looks like if he looking for him?

This was a weird episode

I actually like this episode. Its one of the small bunch that I like from this season. Its hysterical when the sister of David's girlfriend shows up and tumbles him on the floor.

Its simple slapstick pretending to be someone that you are not and not knowing what that brings. One of the few highlights of season 5 IMHO.

It was a fun episode but it just made no sense that Jack would work at a job as another person since the experience would not count under Jack Tripper :lol::lol:

Of course but many things dont make sense in sitcoms.
How was Grandma Jack supposed to cash a $10,000 check not made out to him when he won the cookie contest. He won a contest as an old woman. He went to the cookie company as a woman to pick up the check.

Right without Photo Id stating her name, Mildred Tripper born in 1917:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Another example of sitcom fantasy was the cruise episode where Jack and to pick between his roommates to go on the cruise. In the end, Ralph went as "Jack Tripper". How could he board a ship without proper identification let alone cook for everyone on the ship ;)

Also surprising that Angelino hired Jack back as regular chef considering how dishonest Jack was by impersonating someone else.

Yes that scene was never shown, him being rehired as Jack:lol:

the outcomes were cute and funny but in no way believable.

and also the first appearance of Felipe! My favorite line from that episode right after the sister tumbles Jack to the floor:
Jack: Why didn't you help?
Felipe: She didn't need no help.

I like the part where Jack says Cindy will you please tell them who I am. She says sure he’s David Miller.

There is a quick blooper in this episode. Towards the end when Janet and Furley show up at the restaurant, you can see them look through the restaurant door windows waiting for their cue.

I think they wanted Mr. Angelino to be a shady restaurant owner with questionable business practices. There are sketchy bosses who pay employees under the table. They like to hire and fire people on a whim.

My mom once worked at a dental office where the dentist not only failed to take out taxes and federal withholdings to the IRS, he also denied that my mom had ever worked for him. My mom had to hire a tax attorney to make restitution payments to the IRS.

I also think the episode represents how uninformed the writers are/were in regards to restaurants and culinary arts. At a minimum, a top restaurant would need 2 if not 3 chefs to operate 6 days a week. I think the writers relied on their limited experience (maybe the TV industry is used to pulling people off the street when doing anything on the set) of how restaurants operate. You can't hire anyone to serve the public any kind of food.

Good point most restaurants have mutliple cooks and not one guy which would have peoeple waiting for their food all night
