...And just like that, The Simpsons has just declared itself the most EVIL scripted TV show on U.S. Broadcast TV.

I don't know if Mike Reiss's words are serious, or if he's just coming up with more excuses for The Simpsons to get out of ending its original run. Anytime The Simpsons wants to shoot for a particular milestone (like 30 seasons), it ends up becoming reality. It means holding back even MORE up-and-coming animated shows on FOX-TV, like it did with Bless the Harts (thanks a lot, schedule limitations!).

The big deal is, scripted primetime TV shows simply cannot run forever.:(
