What is the first show everyone remembers seeing when they were a kid? For me it was definitely The Brady Bunch!! I've watched it in syndication as far back as I can remember and I think I was able to quote lines from it when I was about 3. That's why it holds a special place in my heart :) I think the second show might have been Laverne and Shirley.

For me it was Sesame Street. I was about two when it premiered.
My mother used to tell me that I was so mesmorized by this program that I would actually stand in front of the TV and watch.
My mother would tell me to sit and watch, but I would just stand there. Finally she would have to physically sit me down to watch.
I also remember always getting up and hiding whenever The Count came on.
But, I'm older, and no longer fear The Count.
Now I get up and hide whenever Judge Judy is on.

My very first really vivid memory is of watching Cheers. My dad loved the show but my mother hated for me to watch it because ::gasp:: it had a bar in it!
So whenever she'd be out in the evenings or away for awhile he'd let me watch it (i was maybe 2...)
lol, yeah. I remember the theme song better than anything- when it came to n@n i was like "i know this!!!!!" lol

For me it has to be......*thinks* "Bewitched."
I used to get drunk off of that show when I was young(er). I think it premeired on The Superior N@N in 1989, so I was maybe 2 or 3 when I started watching. When it comes to first run tho, it's probably Step by Step, Full House, and Family Matters. I forgot the fourth show in the TGIF lineup tho..........

The first tv show that I remember watching, even though I didn't like it at the time was 'The Andy Griffith Show'. I hated that show so much when I was younger. (I was an ignorant child what else can I say? lol) Then I had my spell where I started to like it. Then came the obsession period. :)

The first tv show that I remember watching that I really liked was 'Batman'. I loved that show. I watch it and record it now that its on tvland, and I get so much of a laugh out of it still. I think when I was younger, I liked the Batgirl season. For some reason, I just don't like the Batgirl season now. I'm not saying Yvonne Craig isn't a good actress. It's just whenever you add an extra character to a show, the ship starts to sink.

The first TV show I watched had to have been on Nickelodeon or the Disney Channel. Those were pretty much the ONLY channels I watched in my younger days.

The first show that I remember was "Gilligan's Island". (First run). I had to be 3 or 4. I remember my mom getting me out of the bathtub and hurrying up to get my pajama on and then going over to a table in the living room, getting out a chocolate "Tootsie Pop" and sitting on the floor watching Gilligan. Wow, what great memories!!!:)

Well, since I have been around since the dawn of T V prime time, it would be either I Love Lucy or The Honeymooners.(Both first run , of course!)

I remember my dad watching The Honeymooners . So naturally I watched it too!

Other early early shows that I remember watching are:

Robin Hood
Howdy Doody
Sky King
Pinky Lee
Art Linkletter's House Party
American Bandstand
The original Mickey Mouse Club(Annette Funicello was my idol!)

Everything was in black and white way back then! Our neighbors got a color television in 1957(I was 7 at the time) and the first color show I saw was Bonanza.:tv:

I think the very first show I saw was called, "The Magic Garden" with a pink squirrel named Sherlock.

If it's sitcoms, I think it would be Welcome Back Kotter or Good Times.

I don't remember what was "the first show" I watched but I know these are the ones that I remember watching in my early years:

"The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" (I was obsessed with it back then!)
"Ducktales"
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Chip and Dale, Pluto, and the rest of the gang disney shorts
"Jeopardy!"
"The Wheel of Fortune"

The very first three classic t.v. sitcoms that I watched was
I Dream of Jeannie
Bewitched
I Love Lucy
Nick at Nite aired them back in 1994 from 8:00 to 9:30pm.

Well I was born in July of 1977.. The funny thing is, the first memories of TV shows I have are of the news. I remember seeing the one year anniversary of Elvis' death on the news. The first television shows that I can actually remember seeing were: The Muppet Show in the late 70's and early 80's, Sha Na-Na, Hee-Haw, BJ and The Bear, CHiP's, Dukes of Hazzard, WKRP In Cincinatti, Mork and Mindy, and The Love Boat, The Fall Guy, all of these shows when they originally aired in prime time.

I am pretty sure I will edit my post when I remember more. I really did watch a lot of tv shows in the 80's.

Oh yeah, of course A-Team when it first began airing in 1983. I also used to watch one of the first Japenese Anime cartoons that came to America before Robotech or Voltron did. I think this was around 82 or 83, I think it was called Gatcha Man, or G-Force in Japan, but here in America it was called Battle Of The Planets.

Oh yeah, the last 3 seasons of Three's Company, and I remember "Fame" the tv series, as well as Square Pegs.
