That would be so sad, if true, but quite a few celebrities lost their fortunes in that scheme. Hate to think of Rue being one of the victims, as she worked so hard her whole life for everything she had... :( :( :(

This is awful to hear! I sincerely hope she didn't lose everything, or even close to it. I recall reading she had put her Manhattan apartment up for sale shortly before her death, somewhere in the $2.5M range. I'm pretty sure it ended up selling for less after her death.
