I had a recent infection on my gums and my dentist and oral surgeon said the best thing was to do a small surgical procedure that scraped away the infected tissue.

I was numbed like crazy (surgeon told me I was given a numbing for the numbing) and the procedure itself went fine, but the pain I am in now is intense. He told me to take two Advils and 1 Tylenol every six hours and it simply isn't doing it. He told me they are reluctant to prescribe "anything stronger" since there is a lot of paper work involved.

Yeah, it's a shame , because of all the opioid abuse and addiction doctors and dentists are reluctant to prescribe pain killers now! Sucks for people in pain that really need them ! :(Hope they can at least give you some Codeine/ Tylenol 3 .They aren't very strong but better than nothing ! ;)

Like with me , I used to be prescribed Benzos ( Xanax or Klonopin) for anxiety , not anymore ! Because of the abusers , spoiled it for people who really need them for anxiety and panic disorder ! :(

If you have Ibuprofen (Motrin) (800Mg) try taking that,that stuff is quite good.......

It was a nightmare for about 45 minutes, but A Lesson learned -- these companies don't call people, these calls are scams from other parts of the world but I thought the one this morning was different and I took the call...finally after 45 minutes of their bull cwap, I told them I've got to call my bank and they kept saying, no don't do that, they would "fix" the issue but I finally hung up and called my bank....I know other companies do this scamming but now I learned MORE.... It was NOT Amazon, be very careful of all those buttons we push when buying something etc. grrrrr

I get several calls a week about my car's expired warranty. I have not had a car warranty in over 15 years. My car is a 2003 model so I know this is a scam. I just end the call as soon as I hear those first few words.

You should contact Amazon and alert them to the issue with the Scammers. They could post a warning on their site to let people know about it. I'm sure their customers would want this information.

I'm a little farther south than you but they're saying the same thing for our area. All the flowers are coming up since it's been warm but now they're calling for a little snow & temps in the low 30's which will be rough on my flowers. April can be a weird month.

Two things that are bugging me...

One...someone said I can get a grant since I'm disabled...but they insisted that I go to a store like Wal-Mart that same day and to give them $50! This was all through texts, so the last text I gave them was "I won't be doing this, leave me alone"! But if they they text me again, I'll tell those *******s that "if you keep texting me, I'm calling my lawyer"!

I just had some not-so-sweet watermelon. It happens, but that reminded me that watermelon production has trended toward seedless varieties at the expense of flavor. When I was little, I used to eat watermelons from Oregon that had tons of seeds but were super-sweet! I didn't mind, but I think I'm in the minority. I don't know if those varieties are grown anymore. :(

I'm with you, I can deal with the seeds if it's otherwise a tasty watermelon. One thing that bothers me about produce is when stores pile up boxes of bananas and they're easily bruised by employees and customers.

When I was at Walgreens earlier, I brought a gallon of milk but It got unexpectedly busted wide open just a half hour later before I went inside of my house.

McDonald's drive-thru is the worst for waiting. And those double kiosks--I like it better, and it seems to run just as well, when one is closed. And there's always one car (usually an SUV) that seems to be ordering every item in the place.

You almost always have no opportunity to order inside due to limited hours.

And Subway--you walk in and no one is in line. But you have to stand and wait while they make orders from the app or online. Why do they get priority over a walk-in? So the app order person can walk in and their order is ready and waiting? Well great for them!

I ended up having to get a new phone.

I ordered a roast beef and mashed potato lunch special from a diner not far from me (delivery) and found a toothpick in my mashed potatoes. I noticed it when I went to get a forkful and it didn't feel right on the fork.

Never had a problem with this place before. I bagged it and am going in a little while to let them know. Unacceptable.

Dude, on waving to a car, that may have been the case when I lived in my little hometown decades ago where most knew each other...Now the major town I live in no one knows anyone unless they are friends already. Walking on the sidewalk and if someone says hi, you scratched your head and wonder why?

The larger the city the less friendly, reminds me of the times I had to go to NYC on business and walking those busy sidewalks people would rather knock you over than say excuse me or pardon me. So this was really wild after living in laid back CA for years. So that is my take.

And YES it's far less friendly since covid, people are angry, depressed and people even lose friends over it all, many are on the edge. I don't hate the world but miss what it was before C.V.

My complaint for me is that I did something to my already damaged knee and am having more trouble walking. So hoping that will more rest etc it will go back to where it was.

On the good side we've had maybe 3 inches of rain starting last night and feet of snow in the mountains and this will help our water issue.

Traffic is terrible on our side of town. All the major shops, restaurants & the Mall is in our area and it attracts people from other counties and from neighboring Kentucky. Everyone comes here to do their Christmas shopping. When we first moved here there were only 2 gas stations, a bank and a factory. Boy has that changed.

They made my screen freeze, forced me to restart it, and eliminated text from my taskbar, the descriptions from my icons on my screen my task manager, my system restore, eliminated my clock and calendar, anything in the pop-up windows whether I left click or right click, and a lot of other things I can't describe.

Even when I push the smilies button on this site, I get a blank page.

Well, this could pass, believe it or not. I just discovered a YouTube tutorial that may be able to fix my problem. If it works, maybe I'll post it just in case other people get it.

Walmart Bridgeton is temporarily closed all day Today & also the remainder of Yesterday to the public because that store will have more time to clean up under sanitization. I should be back to work tomorrow once Bridgeton Walmart reopens once after 35-45 hours of the entire store area clearing up the mess to get straighten out.

One of my childhood friends moved to Florida on Monday. I knew he was moving months ago, but now he is officially out of here.

It's fine. My charger is back to working again.

My husband's sister passed away from COPD complications. She was 60. She didn't have much money so my husband and his older brother have to pay for the funeral. Her daughter is a drug addict and does not work. She wanted a big funeral costing around $10,000. My husband & brother-in-law said if she paid 1/2 they'd cover the other half. She couldn't even afford $20 much less $5000. So we ended up cremating her which cost $2000. Her daughter is mad but we have our own bills and can't take on that much debt. She will get the house and everything in it but she will probably sell it and spend the money on drugs. I don't want any contact with her because I know she will try to hit us up for money. She also has 3 teen-age children that she doesn't take care of. The oldest is 19 and she's letting the other 2 kids live with her & her boyfriend. My late sister-in-law did have custody of all 3 until her death. Sometimes life just su**s.

Sorry for your loss, AB, but we must take care of our health and I've already had my remains disposal taken care of and today it would cost me about $800...I've seen so many costly funerals and all I can say what a waste.

I've been following a very sad story of a 32 young father who is going to die soon from ALS and his story brought me to tears. So many hard stories out there.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I just had to vent a little, things were getting so difficult with the loss of his sister and all the drama that was going on with his niece. I wish he'd just stay away from them for awhile but they're his relatives and he feels he has to get involved. I imagine everyone has a few difficult relatives they have to cope with.

I sometimes take a shower before bed if I have to get up and go out somewhere really early the next day so I can get a little extra sleep. Or on a day off from work if I kinda just stayed in and didn't go anywhere and didn't shower in the morning .:)

The site claims that IMDb, Wikipedia, and a website called "What Is My Movie" will tell you the exact title of the movie you want simply by filling in a plot description or a scene.

They won't.

I saw a movie on WNBC a good 40 years ago about some British alcoholic, drug addicted scumbag in England who marries four different women in the UK, treats them all like crap, frequently burns trash in a burn barrel on the beach The movie was clearly made in the late 1960's or 1970's, and spoiler alert; the cops busted him for burning the body of a baby from one of the women he married. I looked it up on "What Is My Movie" and it gave me a bunch of movies that have nothing to do with the one I was watching.


I also looked up a movie that had a scene in a summer camp where a bunch of kids are teasing this one boy and he somehow successfully manages to beat the living crap out of them. Again, I got a bunch of irrelevant movies.


I even tried to add plots to movies where I knew the titles ("You're a Big Boy Now" (1966), and "Melody" (1971)), and both times it gave me a dozen movies I wasn't looking for.


And the worst part is that I can't tell anybody there it doesn't work.

I had 7+ days without any internet service after a thunderstorm last Saturday. I had an appointment for Monday, but the tech wasn't able to fix it. I wasn't able to get another appointment until today (Sunday). I called them every day trying to get an earlier time. I thought $265 a month would get better service than that. They should have escalated the issue and made it a priority. Hopefully Comcast will reimburse me for the dowtime.

I had 22 hrs of down internet and probably talked my head off to the carrier and last time they gave me was coming to my house on Aug 13, totally unacceptable...Well my good neighbor guy who helps me a lot with other stuff brought some things to me and said why don't I talk to the last person you have been talking to and low and behold he and "Kate" got my internet back up.....talk about a miracle, I guess him talking to her and being nicer than I was, made a difference.....and to think all the ones I talked to at Frontier could do nothing but give me a 8/13 date to come out....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I didn't go there that often, but it's sad to see a place open for over a century gone.

When they get maybe hundreds of "kudos" and comments, I only get nine kudos and one comment.

Don't feel like the lone ranger, I believe that the members here focus on what I believe is not that important or newsworthy stuff, but I suppose if you just stay with what I call nothing stuff and sitcom stuff, you'll get more action. I'm into holistic type healing and when I do post something, rarely do I get a comment. Health issues don't attract attention here.

Now when we had a political group I would get a lot of attention and attacks. So it's hard to win, take a chance and see where it goes. I would not take it personally.

The problem is that I've put four months of my life into this and want to feel that it hasn't been in vain.
So I guess I will take it too personally.

On a side note and seeing you are from Sweden, brings me back to a friend I had for many yrs here in Santa Monica, CA, and she had dual citizenship Sweden/USA, she had a way of getting stuff from both countries. She lived in Helsingborg and we had good times together, but she was "difficult" on many issues. She was a great cook and quite pretty....but an unpleasant streak.

I get several calls a week about my car's expired warranty. I have not had a car warranty in over 15 years. My car is a 2003 model so I know this is a scam. I just end the call as soon as I hear those first few words.

The scammers keep trying as they figure just 1 person will bite and it's all been worth it for the scammers. If I know I have ordered nothing, delete immediately on all of them.

I have SO much trouble opening a new box of cereal. First of all they glue down the cardboard so well it's like they don't want you to open it. That I understand, since it's out in the grocery store before you get it.

Then you get to the inner wrapper, which at least for me is almost impossible to separate. I find I have to lift out the whole thing, then i might be able to separate it. And if it tears in the wrong place, it's a mess later.

After you've lifted out the whole thing, then the contents have swelled out, making it difficult to get back in the box. I remember cereal wrappers of the past that were foil-like, and easy to separate.

Maybe I need to look on Amazon and see if there's Tupperware-like dispensers to pour it into.

As far as things being sealed to the 9's I find this to be the case with about everything, bottles, jars, boxes --- everything.

And I wanted to see if there was a lot of violence and graphic sex scenes in this story too.
Of course, that is what turned out to be the case according to the description.
And I'm not saying that nobody should write about violence, rape and sex.
But I don't get why you should have to write about these things to get any attention for your hard work.
Especially when all of these stories are based on a family-friendly Disney movie, which makes it really weird.
Sure, it is true that my story also is slightly more mature than the original source material.
But it seems like other people go really extreme and get all of the attention... :(

This is a kinda complaint, but everyone makes their own decisions and my 81 yr old brother called me and said "guess what I did", and I said "got a hole in one", every golfter's dream.....he said no I wish, but I got a hip replacement, he is 2 days post op and loaded with drugs from surgery and I wish him a good recovery/good results, and he knows all I live with my a hip replacement, 13 yrs ago soon.

I found out today that one of my coworkers at the supermarket I work at left a few weeks ago and got a new job.

It's a shame because I really enjoyed talking to her and I never even got the chance to say goodbye.

Got in the mood to watch the awards last night so did all I was told to do to get the MODERN tv to work, and no dice...the remote is warped, stripped and the friend who gave me the tv told me how to fanagle the remote to get it to work, but Could Not. So I headed for my reliable on off button radio...works every time. And heard that Jamie Lee Curtis got the Best Supporting Actress award, I always enjoyed her work.

Some UBER drivers are something else... I needed a ride to Queens and as soon as I got in the car the guy was complaining saying he has to do a long drive now and that he makes no money.

I told him that he could have passed up the call as the drivers choose what rides to take and he's still complaining about the drive. I then told him that I could just cancel the call and then he'd be making no money and that shut him up. I'm paying him to drive, not to bitch for the whole trip.

It's really Tough for So many trying to make it today. These driving jobs were to be a fill in and have become a major job for so many, very tragic and it's worse I'd think in high population states.

The law here is once the passenger gets in the car the Taxi driver has to take them wherever they need to go.

I would speak to the driver through the window before hopping in, as a courtesy, to see if he wanted to take a long distance trip.

I just had another horrible experience with this prick who lives at the end of the circle...

He thinks he can tell me not to be ON PUBLIC PROPERTY..

I was laying under a tree IN THE CIRCLE and the idiot comes home from work and sees me.... He comes back out to the circle with a camera documenting the time,etc....... And then he told me to leave......

He turned on me last year when he found out I didnt take the shot.....

Boy oh boy Dude, if only there were some like minded thinking people in your life. Who have become enlightened with opening their minds. My important circle are thankfully thinkers as I am, or close enough in areas.
