When the the first time you drove a car? Was it easy or hard? Did you get into any accidents that cause your insurance to skyrocket? LOL Juuust wondering.

BTW, if you don't drive, replace the word car with bicycle. ;)

hm...the first time i drove was in the target parking lot like over a year ago. well, like 10 minutes later my dad decides i'm ready enough to be by myself. lol..so he gets out and walks around just a few feet away. big mistake-i ran over a curb and a shopping cart. lol. the first time i drived on the street was ok. cuz the instructer guy was with me. today though-man, i almost got into like 2 accidents. the second time this car came out of my blind spot after i checked it twice to make a lane change and she comes from around me and honks her horn and goes "what the hell is the matter with you you mother fuc*er?!?" and gives me the middle finger. so of course, my dad and her had it out by using curse words and middle fingers. lol...

Well I had probably the worst first day test drives. Here it goes: I sped. I followed too closely. I ran a stop sign. I almost hit a Chevy. I sped some more. I failed to yield at a crosswalk. I changed lanes at an intersection. I changed lanes without signaling while running a red light and SPEEDING!

I also have unpaid parking tickets. :(

Your first time driving was on real roads? I'd be scared to death.. and probably would have made just as many mistakes as you.

I parked my parents car when I was about 13. But not actually driving it down the street or anything.

lol, my first time driving on an actual road (other than around empty parking lots and my driveway) was this morning!
I was scared stiff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but it actually went ok. The whole first five minutes i was whispering "im gonna hit someone....im gonna hit something....im gonna drive into a mailbox....i want to drive a horse and carriage.....then all id have to do is say "whoa"....i want to become amish.....help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But after that it got better and I didnt hit anything and im not planning to become amish :)
nope, no accidents yet. give me time!!

(nice topic subject btw)

That all sounds vaguely familiar? Are we a Jim Carry fan, Chris?

Anyway, my first time driving was when I was 14 and it was on a small road and when another car came by me I pulled over onto the grass cause I didn't want to hit it:lol: The person behind me must of thought I was crazy, which I was at the moment, but it was pricelss-I scared my mom to death.
Now my problem is speeding...gotta work on that because I take my driver's test in a matter of weeks.

First time...dang, I don't remember. I can remember trying to drive my dad's manual transmission truck and skipping it down the street. That was a mess (and the reason I drive an automatic).

Yeah God Chris, you make it sound like the board is full of... nevermind.

Anways I'm not sure I can answer this question, because the only time I've driven was 4 months ago. My grandmother was driving and me being the dumb ass that I am, decided to take the wheel from her for 2 seconds. We were only going like 10 miles an hour. It seemed pretty easy.

A bike on the other hand... well...as I was telling someone the other day, I've crashed into everything from other bikers to pay phones.

I was about 4 and I remember sitting on my dad's lap and he would push on the gas and I would sit there holding the wheel as I was trying to go up a hill.

I grew up on a farm. My dad started letting me drive his truck in our field when I was 12. I remember backing into a tree and messing up the tailgate.

The 1st time I drove was a long time ago when I was 14. I got to drive my uncle's truck down a back-road in the woods, & I didn't wreck or n e thing!

Well, my first time to get behind the wheel was nerve recking. But thanks to my wonderful grandfather he taught me to drive. I started out small by driving in parking lots of stores (I.E.: Malls, Plazas, ect.) which led to on the ROAD. And since then I haven't had any problems except I tend to not relax while driving. LOL. I get nervous and afterawhile I feel this pain in my shoulders and upperback. But I guess it's a phase I hope. :)

Gee thanks for your...observation. But I'm working all summer and have nothing better to do so IO decided, screw it. I'll be on the boards instead of watching TV. TV has nothing good on anymore these days.
