I'm sorry, ITA. I'm not sure what you mean. Miss Mahoney was not in "Overachieving", and she's not listed in "Overachieving" on the list:

1-05: Overachieving - count by '80sSitcoms

But Miss Mahoney isn't in ED either. She is only in the first phase of the show, the 4 episodes that aired in 1979:

Rough Housing
Like Mother, Like Daughter
The Return of Mr. Garrett
I.Q.

Miss Mahoney is gone after I.Q.

I take back what I said in another thread about you making a wonderful investigative reporter. You still need more classes with Mr. Gideon!

But here's what I remember:

I think Blair has the most lines than any of the girls in this show. She had a huge part in season 2. I forgot how many times she paired up with Mrs. Garrett in season 2 to help the girls. It seems they kept that dynamic from season 1. I remember Blair would be like Mrs. Garrett that season as well helping the girls with their issues.

Absolutely! BLAIR and MRS G were the closest in season 1 and 2 (along with JO), but in season 3, i noticed that NATALIE and MRS G seem to be the closest and have more airtime together: what do you think, Christopher?

I don't know about that one. I would have guessed Tootie because I remember Tootie and Mrs. Garrett having a lot of scenes together in season 3. Tootie is always concerned about Mrs. Garrett and goes to her for comfort. I remember Mrs. Garrett trying to comfort Natalie during her episodes. Natalie always seemed to want to handle things on her own. Green Eyed Monster she tried sabotaging Tootie. The Blair / Natalie episodes where they're fighting, Natalie doesn't get Mrs. Garrett for her advice. She just exacts revenge on Blair without thinking. So I don't think Natalie was closest to Mrs. Garrett in season 3.

This is getting more and more interesting Christopher, thank you!

I never thought about it quite this way, but you're right: TOOTIE was closest to MRS G during season 3 (more so than in all the other seasons anyway) starting from the episode 'Growing pains', where our 'feisty red haired' tries to protect our 'baby girl' from the new headmaster MR PARKER! (In this episode, MRS G will do anything to prevent him finding out that her youngest girl is heavily drunk!)
Then, in the episode 'Dear me', we see a very concerned MRS G go after her baby girl to find out what is happening with her, and they both have a great 'heart to heart' talk about boys and taking it slowly (in a way it kind of reminded me of the heart to heart talk she had with CINDY in 'Rough Housing').
I could go on and on, but both 'Starstruck' and 'Runaway' are also a TOOTIE and MRS G episodes.....

Gossip

I can't see her having more than 21 lines in her other cameo appearances. They're so much shorter with only one scene each.

UPDATE: OH, wait, wait--you mean TLC several seasons later.

But I bet "Gossip" is her biggest episode as far as amount of lines within a given time, since 20 of her lines are all in the first half of the show.

Bumping because I'll start work on this project this weekend.

I was surprised that Tootie had fewer lines than Blair in "Pretty Babies".

As am I, and that she had only 5 more lines than Natalie! Wow!

Also, the correct spelling is "Rena".

I really was surprised that this Tootie-centric episode has much less Tootie dialog than I ever would have imagined. Natalie does ham it up, in the beginning, as she's helping Mr. Dutton, but still, it was surprising.

Corrected, thanks. It's funny because one time Mrs. Garrett says her name, it sounds like she says "Mena".

Agreed!

 Maybe your TV has a malfunction where the "R"s sound like "M"s, like how Tootie's typewriter mixed up the "F" and "T" keys. ;)

I also noticed that "The Slumber Party", "Totals for S1", and "TNG Part 1" don't have colons with their line counts. I know those counters may not have used them, and I'm not nitpicking, but just pointing it out in case you're one of those guys who lives everything to look uniform (like I do---like how I didn't mind your pointing out typos at all in my enormous writers' database! lol).

Good point... consider it done. I agree that the colons would improve readability.
