I thought it was kind of weird too that MRS G would watch DALLAS: i used to watch Dallas (not my granny lol!) as anyone my generation would.....

Mrs. Garrett was about the same age as Larry Hagman and JR's parents were both known vaudeville acts, so it wouldn't surprise me that Mrs. Garrett would watch the show. Maybe she had the hots for Patrick Dempsey.
