He might not be taken care of himself or have some type of medical condition, hard to say.

He is 6 years older than Bernadette Stanis. I remember on Amazon a GT Fan said they were shocked that Jimmie Walker and Bernadette Stanis were playing Teenagers when Jimmie was 27 and Bernadette was 21 in the first Season. But in the very first Season, they looked really young for their ages. Jimmie looked about 17 and Bernadette looked about 16. In the final Seasons, when JJ should have looked about 24, he looked to be in his 30's. VERY late 20's at the most.
