Who do you think is the smartest one at Cheers? Before you answer, let me give you some names and why they may be the smartest:
1. Frasier
2. Lillith } These are the obvious ones
3. Diane
4. Sam- His looks alone couldn't get the sophisticated Diane or the saavy Rebecca. He needed to outsmart them and wear them down.
5. Woody- He married the richest girl in town, plus became a councilman of Boston.
6. Cliff- The Jedi Master of useless trivia.
7. Norm- the guy never works, yet, he's always at Cheers and The Hungry Heifer.
Who do you think is the overall smartest?

I can't tell you who is the smartest because you made some excellent points. I can tell you that based on the information you have gathered I think they were all very smart in their own ways.
If you are talking about book smart I would probably choose Frasier. If you are talking about life smart I would have to say Woody.

Lilith and Frasier, its a tie...for me its always a tie with them.

i have to say carla..NOT book smart. .but being a smart ass... shes quick with the comebacks .. and evil! i like evil! and she has common sense..

Well, Lilith is definitely the most knowledgeable, with Frasier and Diane following.
However, knowledge doesn't neccassarily mean they're smarter than everyone else. They've just applied their brains unlike the rest.
That aside, I do believe that Lilith is brilliant... I'm sure her IQ exceeds anyone elses at the bar. ;)

The reason I left Carla of the list is because even though she may appear to be street smart, she doesn't know the meaning of birth control. 8 kids and 3 fathers! Not too bright. She always seems to latch on to bad men.

Frasier, Lilith and Diane were the smartest in an academic sense, yet I think Sam was the most 'life smart'.
