I can't say I was the most diligent watcher since I only watched it to try to get some continuity from what had been a fave BMW but, from what I watched, it seemed Topanga only barely tolerated Cory's presence so she'd have someone to help care for their kids but had little if any sincere remaining affection for him as a spouse left.
She didn't even list him among 'the people I love' when she asked for opinions from her in-laws and family friends in the the Season Three finale about her proposed London move- much less even asked him what his opinion was about whether the family should move.
Yes, I know that Cory had plenty of faults but he'd had those faults on BMW yet back then she loved him despite and/or learned to love said faults.
However, despite the facts that he was a dedicated (albeit flawed) co-parent who had a been a faithful husband and DID have affection for her, she didn't seem to reciprocate much less appreciate those facts.
Since Ben Savage and Danielle Fisher were producers of this show, I wonder why they allowed this to happen with their characters (to say nothing about their characters' parenting skills).
