When Dolph Sweet died after Season 4, Nell Carter looked like she couldn't go on with GAB during Season 5 and 6. Sure, they put it on the show...but she was also on drugs to take the pressure off.

I just feel that Nell Carter missed Dolph Sweet badly once Sweet died.

Supposedly she was clean at this point. However I did read somewhere that she ended up going back to drugs.
