Is it because popular culture has nothing?

I don't see any good came of it apart from possibly a few medical advances. Look at the financial crash, which we're all still paying for today. What about the pressure on families to earn a crust; no wonder we have a crime wave and a spate of anti-social behaviour. It’s been a rough decade. I blame trickle-down economics, in its disastrous fourth consecutive decade of implementation. Someday that’s got to change.

I can see that...the Great Recession DID put us out-of-whack! The suburban white flight is in full-swing...if I lived in a 'burb that becomes more African-American and/or Latino-American...I'd still stay because the people are practically nice...and more well-to-do. Two years ago, me, my brother, and my dad passed-by Garfield Heights because my grandfather lived there...someone else moved-in my grandfather's house and they did a good job remodeling a 150-year-old farmhouse...I saw they even painted the mid-century doors.

And children...they have no form of discipline, no parental figure, and no sense on concept except that their parents will keep you under their thumbs...that or the parents are children!

Agree 1000%...2006 sucked for me! I'd rather go back to the 1990's...corporation wasn't in full-swing, music was better, and it had an identity...

Maybe I'd go to the 90's first and tape some shows that I like and give advice to others...then I'd take the VCR, a few tapes, and adapters that would work on a 1960's TV and go to the 1960's, and maybe record a few Johnny Carson Shows along the way as well as go to the first Woodstock!

Fall has arrived early here. It was in the 50s yesterday, down from the 80s of last week. I'm not complaining. I love the Fall and winter months and hate the heat.

Same here Janice , as I am getting older I can't stand the really hot summer! :p Out here in So Cal where I am we don't get majorly cold winters and snow and all but the weather does get cooler and we get rain, which I prefer to very hot dry heat!;)

But 2019 is far worse for me...I got my hours cut, I had problems with my landlady's sister, and my dad wants me to move-back home. I even have a list on why 2019 sucks...

1-My Church Home...I have to be a member there until they let me go.
2-My Job...My ex-boss got fired and I'm on my own!
3-Restructuring My Life...It took me months to get my finances in order!
4-Finances...I don't have much money in the bank!
5-Summer...I didn't go anywhere or do anything.
6-The Podcast...Because of my brother, I lost my radio show!
7-My Father...he wasn't doing well all this year.
8-House life...having someone throw-away stuff that I need? I can't even find a new place!
9-The Cleveland Idiots...I made a thread about their season!
10-The Cleveland Clowns...Too Much Hype, Not Enough Play...now we got embarrassed nationally!
11-Notre Dame...One of Paris' landmarks will be restructured even longer.
12-Entertainment World...anything good lately?
13-Woodstock 50...never happened due to conflicts!
14-The U.S. Leaders...don't even get me started!
15-Migration...too many problems with this.
16-Brexit...just let The United Kingdom Be!
