They always short-change white middle-aged men. I would complain to the diocese.

I'll probably go to my bank and file a complaint...if I can.
If I get the money back, I'll use it for myself...if I don't get it back, I'll ask my brother to buy me a video game.
dakert 07-15-2019, 09:39 AM When I am at the store and lets say the items come to $5.00 I would hand them the money and say "out of $20.00"

MrCleveland 07-15-2019, 04:46 PM I just gotta fine the ATM Machine that gave me the money...but since I'm sooooo pissed at the church that took my money...I refuse to talk to them!
The machine they got was from Mentor...I may have to go to the bank and get it fixed...I'll even make a copy of my last transactions.

Why would the bank owe you money? You went to the ATM, got money out, and got ripped off. The bank did their job. They gave you your money.
It's like if I got money from the ATM, went to the Mall, got robbed. Why is the bank liable???
You have absolutely no claim with the bank and your money is gone.
Your money is gone and that sucks but it is the facts.

I think I see what Mr. Cleveland means. He went to the ATM and withdrew 20 bucks, and maybe the ATM made a mistake and just gave him a 5 ? He didn't really look at the bill and assumed it was a 20! Than he paid the lady at the church carnival the 20 bill for a 5 dollar transaction, expecting 15 dollars change back, the lady seeing it was a 5, told him no you didn't give me a 20!!
Therefore it could be an ATM machine/ bank mistake? Maybe? Because other than that I can't see how the bank could be at fault!

If I missed that I apologize. He can complain at the bank if the ATM gave him a 5 instead of a 20 and they have records and can definitely find it out. Mr. Cleveland, I apologize if that was the case.
1960'sTVfan 07-15-2019, 06:07 PM I worked as a banker for about 30 years, and all of the ATM's I operated were stocked with 10's and 20's, no 5's. Not saying that an ATM can't have 5's, but I think it would be unusual. As far as I know, the majority of ATM's are stocked with 10's and 20's.

It was the women who made the mistake...I hear that there's evidence in the ATM Machine since they have cameras. Those things don't lie...if I can find-out where the ATM Machine Company is, maybe I can get reimbursed...I already called my bank and they said "if you can give us proof from where you got the money...they can make arrangements"...but if I got ****ed by some *****es who can't do their job...I'm NEVER GOING TO THAT ****ING CARNIVAL AGAIN...AND I'LL SLANDER THAT CHURCH ON EVERY SINGLE ****ING REVIEW PAGE...I already slandered them on Yelp!

I've already reported you anyhow...don't be such a jerk next time!
Steve_uk 07-16-2019, 11:45 AM Could I just say that if the ATM was dispensing $5 bills where it should have been $20 there is likely to be a flood of angry customers.

I have seen ATM Machines that deposit $5...but since my brother paid me for my losses...I'll just vow to NEVER go to that carnival again!
I may have no other choice...but to cut the losses...which I don't need right now because I'm going through a lot of **** right now!

ATMs don't stock $5. Not in America anyway. Unless someone has proof otherwise?

I said the same thing. I worked as a banker for 30 years and the ATM's I operated had 10's and 20's only, no 5's.

Around here the public ATM's (the ones in stores, restaurants) are only 10's and 20's. The ATM's at the bank (at least the bank that I belong to) are whatever denomination I want to withdraw.

When I lived in Chicago, I would use an ATM at the neighborhood convenience store, and if I recall correctly, that ATM dispensed 5's.
Bonniegirl 07-18-2019, 12:11 PM Can you believe I have never used an ATM in my life? It's true! I never use on line banking either. I'm so old fashioned, I always go in the bank for transactions and write and mail checks for bills!;)

I don't use ATM's anymore, mainly because of the fees they charge. If I need some cash, I cash a check in the bank at the teller window and there's no fee for that. It's been a while since I put a check in the mail to pay a bill. I pay my electric bill and gas bill in person, I go to the offices in town and pay them there. My cable/internet/phone service, I pay that bill on line.
Steve_uk 07-18-2019, 04:38 PM We do have £5 notes dispensed from ATM's here (they are made from polymer and don't fold very well), but if it's not possible this occurred in Mr. Cleveland's case he can either write to the Head of the diocese where the carnival was located giving an account of the incident or take some message from the following song: https://youtu.be/xlZSfvimIh4
MrCleveland 07-18-2019, 05:53 PM So you're saying those 2 ladies stole $15 from you?? Why??
It was $20...because they weren't even paying attention to what they were doing.
I can't even call the parish that SHOULD be held responsible for that action...if anything, I'll go to the bank this weekend, tell them my dilemma, have them call the parish on what their ATM Machine's company is, call the ATM company, see if they have video evidence of me taking $20 from the machine, and if they do...have that company show it to the parish carnival that I was at, and have those women be held accountable...especially for making ME a liar!
If things go well, I'll skip the parish carnival until 2021.
If things don't go well, then I'm NEVER going there again!
