I love Mrs. Garrett, I really do but maybe it's just her demeanor or her voice that gets to me sometimes. I thought (expected, really) that the show would go downhill after she left (and I think that's the majority rule), but honestly, I think I like the episodes with Beverly Ann better. I'm not really sure why, but she feels more like a "friend" rather than a housemother and I'm sure that was supposed to be the point.
I'm currently watching Season 9 and I've found that I like the later seasons (8-9) better than most. Granted the show is worlds away from the way it was when it started and I still cannot stand Tootie (She's gotten worse as the seasons go by), adding Natalie to that mix. I know they are the youngest but if I see a scene (or a vast majority of an ep) with them in it I fast-foreword through it).
But anyway, I like Beverly Ann. She does get on my nerves with her constant stories about the past but I like the fact that she adopted Andy and I like how she interacts with Blair, Tootie, Natalie and Jo.
Speaking of Jo, I really, really like her. She's really grown on me since she started in Season 2 and I think if it weren't for her I might not have continued watching all the eps I have on my DVR.
