Didn't Mrs. Slocombe's wigs keep that show going.. KatieAnn 04-13-2019, 06:21 PM End of season 3 Starsky and Hutch, David Soul had longish blond hair that I did not care for, and in season 4 he added a moustache to the look which I did not like at all. Hutch's wardrobe changed too. I know DS was recovering from a back injury and it's been said that the clothes he wore were to accommodate a back brace, but the shirts the character wore were ugly, not because they made him look large. The patterns were ugly. A lot of Hawaiian shirts. AMackII 04-13-2019, 08:10 PM Paul(played by Josh Saviano) of The Wonder Years look good with glasses. during the later episodes was looked different without them. stevea 04-13-2019, 08:49 PM Marlo Thomas looked better with the bangs, than the part in the middle in the last season. TV Guy 04-13-2019, 10:17 PM Woody’s mullet in the later seasons of Cheers. Edward216 04-13-2019, 10:49 PM Some time during the run of Alice, Linda Lavin got a shorter hairstyle. I always preferred her with longer hair. Ed. dee2364 04-13-2019, 11:52 PM The absolute worst appearance change in the history of television had to be Kes from Star Trek Voyager. The show originally had Jennifer Lien in a short pixie-style wig and in very modest, cute outfits that gave her character an sweet, innocent quality. You could also tell she was playing an alien. https://i2.wp.com/www.womenatwarp.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/kes1.jpg For some bizarre reason, at the height of Kes' popularity the show decided to "sex her up" and put her in revealing body suits, then gave her long shoulder-length hair. She no longer looked like a cute alien elf (just a generic human character) and lost a lot of what made the character charming. The change was so off putting it was like they may as well have just rewritten her character. http://voy.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/4x02/thegift298.jpg The show's creators seemed to become disenchanted with her as well after the change, because shortly afterwards, Kes was dumped for Seven of Nine. Heenan Fan 04-14-2019, 12:25 AM The girl from Felicity cutting all her hair off. treky 04-14-2019, 01:22 AM Didn't Mrs. Slocombe's wigs keep that show going.. what show? Bonniegirl 04-14-2019, 02:13 AM Jackie started out really cute in the early seasons of Roseanne. Cute hair styles and clothes. Than in later seasons that God awful short haircut and her clothes were dumpy and kind of masculine! dee2364 04-14-2019, 10:24 AM what show? Are You Being Served? Mrs. Slocombe was a middle aged woman who wore different-colored hair every single episode. She was ahead of her time because she did the "dye your gray hair a punk color" decades before middle-aged women today started doing it. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-teK2qrq3S4Q/UP_59nxIdVI/AAAAAAAAQi0/tdmJ4WDQtj0/s1600/mollie+sugden+as+Mary+Elizabeth+jennifer+Rachel+Abergavenny+Betty+Slocombe+nee+Yiddell.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Y1DIMpnhrQ0/Tujibe9bv2I/AAAAAAAAMAI/UKXpM-V3qKM/s1600/Mollie_Sugden_as_Mrs_Slocombe.jpg dee2364 04-14-2019, 10:32 AM The girl from Felicity cutting all her hair off. Yes. She had beautiful hair, and it gave her a signature look. Babalu 04-14-2019, 12:02 PM When Valerie Bertinelli cut her hair short on One Day at a Time. I really didn't like that. I can't find any pictures of it but I'm sure Opus can. This isn't really appearance and he couldn't help it but between seasons of Nanny and the Professor Hal's voice changed and was so deep it was distracting to the point of being creepy. I thought the haircut was cute , but than when it started growing out it didn't look so good in later Season 9 eps. She still was cute though! ;) I think what was happening was in Season 8 she had a perm or body wave, but she blow dried it and it looked straighter on the show! On her off time and hanging out with Hubby Eddie she wore it curly !;) You can notice it in late Season 9 , looks like a perm that was cut out ! Also she lightened her hair around Season 8 too I know this being a girl and living through perm years, went through this myself! ;) Her hair was at the best Seasons 1-4 Long and straight, sometimes just curling the ends. And Season 5 it still was really nice . Feathered back with a curling iron but still long! ;) Bonniegirl 04-14-2019, 09:12 PM When Valerie Bertinelli cut her hair short on One Day at a Time. Early season 9 ! Barbara's haircut looking really cute, her hair looking very shiny and smooth !!:) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/data/731/o55.jpg Later Season 9, you can see where the haircut is grown out, her hair looks dry and you can see that she has an old perm cut out which she is trying to make it look straighter ! But she was still very cute and attractive. She turned her Brother in law Max on in "The nearness of you", even with her hair not looking it's best! :D;) Also note how HOT Max was all clean shaven in Season 9 !!:):eyes: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/data/731/o291.jpg icecream 04-15-2019, 12:00 PM The absolute worst appearance change in the history of television had to be Kes from Star Trek Voyager. And I wouldn't really call the new look "revealing and sexed up", it's not like she walked around with less clothes than before. Regardless though of which way she looked, Voyager vastly improved when Kes was replaced with Seven of Nine. MA 04-15-2019, 12:21 PM Mark Taylor's goth/emo appearance during the later seasons of Home Improvement. I just did not like that attire at all. Edward216 04-16-2019, 01:56 AM Mark Taylor's goth/emo appearance during the later seasons of Home Improvement. I just did not like that attire at all. I agree. I always thought that was a strange direction to go with the character. Ed. stevea 04-16-2019, 08:45 AM Florence Henderson's hair in the third and maybe the fourth season of Brady Bunch. Ditto on Mark Taylor. Heenan Fan 04-17-2019, 01:44 AM Randy "Macho Man" Savage. I loved his 1980's look with the t-shirts or his robes. In the 1990's he looked like a fool with his over the top outfits and cowboy hats. Heenan Fan 04-17-2019, 01:47 AM Mark Taylor's goth/emo appearance during the later seasons of Home Improvement. I just did not like that attire at all. True, but at least it gave his bland character some character development, no? Edward216 04-18-2019, 02:39 AM True, but at least it gave his bland character some character development, no? Not really. Ed. |
