I heard that it cost Mad Men around $250,000 just to use about a minute of a Beatles song in their show. With one episode of The Wonder Years, however, they showed them performing on the Ed Sullivan Show for about a solid three minutes. From this article (https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-second-life-for-the-wonder-years-1412287481), it cost them 75k to license that clip for The Wonder Years. That would be about 150k in modern money, according to the first inflation calculator Google pulled up.
