I'm not surprised that the ratings have been so bad. You have a show that is front-lined by an extremely polarizing host and made in an boring, outdated format (i.e. a Dick Cavett-Tom Snyder-esque talk show). The whole thing just comes across as a vanity project on Alec Baldwin's part.

And when you get right down to it, Baldwin isn't really that good of an interviewer. He talks over his guests, he interjects his own stories way too much, and the interviews just seem choppy and don't flow well.
