'80sSitcoms 10-06-2018, 12:53 AM (psst, Lorimar---for "span of time", I need a specific span :-) )
Lorimar Television 10-06-2018, 01:02 AM Sorry. 15 hours
'80sSitcoms 10-06-2018, 01:04 AM Thanks :)
Also:
instead of "kitchen, basement, school", I need nouns like objects, instead of entire "rooms"---sorry, maybe I should have said "object" to begin with, lol)
Same with "Mr. Bradley" and "Chestnut", I need objects.
Also an object in the kitchen/cafeteria instead of "rabbit" (sorry, lol).
'80sSitcoms 10-06-2018, 01:16 AM Lorimar!
Retro, if Lorimar doesn't respond within 15 minutes of this post, you can substitute what I need, lol.
'80sSitcoms 10-06-2018, 01:19 AM One more: from early in the list, I need a more tangible object instead of "home".
RetroGuy2000 10-06-2018, 03:33 AM Oh, I will wait for Lorimar's suggestions. I am looking forward to this new MadLib!
'80sSitcoms 10-06-2018, 12:21 PM Alright, wait we shall, lol.
RetroGuy2000 10-06-2018, 05:36 PM While you're waiting, enjoy the special item for your FOL binder! :)
Lorimar Television 10-07-2018, 01:17 AM Ok how many objects? Eight? Basketball, telephone, waste basket, globe, magazine, mail, baseball glove, Yankees hat
'80sSitcoms 10-07-2018, 10:58 AM Ok how many objects? Eight?
Nope, 7. I'll go with your first 7.
RetroGuy2000 10-07-2018, 03:56 PM Okay, where is the mad-lib already!? I'm curious!
'80sSitcoms 10-07-2018, 06:28 PM Okay, where is the mad-lib already!? I'm curious!
haha, I know, I was ready to go last night until I hit the snags, lol. Here is Lorimar's Mad Lib:
The New Girl - Part 3
Nancy, Sue Ann, Cindy, and Molly were very flirty that their friends were sent away on probation! They decided to run to the blond office of the new headmaster and punch for their friends!
The new headmaster Mr. Harris was skating in his office, eating his toupee, when the girls smoked in.
"We want you to call our friends!" said Cindy.
"Yeah!" said Sue Ann. "You can't keep them locked up over the cafeteria like some kind of Kansas City horses!"
"That's right!" added Nancy. "I called Roger on the basketball to tell him about this!"
"Students have rights, just like pencils!" protested a defiant Molly. She picked up a pitcher of lemonade from Mr. Harris's desk and poured it all over his toupee-ed head!
Mr. Harris was jealous!
He said "The most successful dog catcher in Paramus, New Jersey!" and sentenced all 4 girls to work in the cafeteria and live in the same chubby room with their friends!
Mrs. Garrett was angry! Not 4, now she had 8 girls to look after and put to work! She showed her 4 new charges to the attractive room they'd be sharing with their friends. Poor Mrs. Garrett, now she fretted she'd only see the bathroom once every 15 hours!
The girls threw into the room and saw their calm friends. But there were no more beds---they'd have to share! There wasn't even a grandfather clock to sleep on! They all drew names out of a Tupperware. Molly shared Blair's bed, Nancy shared the bottom bunk with Natalie while Sue Ann shared the top bunk with Tootie, and poor Cindy had to share a bed with new student Jo; Jo was from the streets and she was really stupid! It was so crowded with 12 girls, Señor Tiger was afraid he would have to leave and go live with Home Run Helen!
Mrs. Garrett put all her girls to lazy work in the cafeteria---she gave them 30 chores to do! Jo had to slice all the caviar with a telephone, Tootie had to peel all the pies with a waste basket, Natalie had to stir all the cinnamon buns in baskets using a globe, Blair had to bake all the pepper on the stove, Sue Ann had to prepare all the water for the girls to drink, Nancy had to wash all the magazines and mail the girls would eat and drink from, while Cindy dried them with wool, and Molly had to take out the garbage in shopping bags to the Peekskill diner!
The girls had to do this every day, and it made them very disgusted!
The chaos with these girls was too much for Howard! He said "We are in troubllllle", threw his chef's hat on the baseball glove, and left Eastland to become a dietitian!
RetroGuy2000 10-07-2018, 06:53 PM Hahahaha!
My favorite part is when Tootie tries to peel all the pies with a wastebasket.
But just the vision of all eight girls sharing one room is hilarious all by itself.
:rotflmao:

Lorimar Television 10-08-2018, 01:04 AM Lmao I love it!!! That was a great story, glad I could help ;)
Lorimar Television 10-08-2018, 01:06 AM He said "The most successful dog catcher in Paramus, New Jersey!" and sentenced all 4 girls to work in the cafeteria and live in the same chubby room with their friends!

'80sSitcoms 10-08-2018, 01:32 AM Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed it, Lorimar :)
By the way, for any other Mad Libs anyone writes up, I suggest that when a word list is provided to fill in, that someone first reply with a post saying something like "got it :) " or "list coming :) " , etc., to claim it, so we won't run into something like 2 posters filling in dozens of words at the same time, lol.

'80sSitcoms 10-09-2018, 10:44 PM "Close Quarters" - season 2, spring 1980
Mrs. Garrett's eight runny girls had been living together for 7 months now. And they were really starting to get on each other's cheese dips!
Natalie was so tired of Nancy skinny-dipping about Roger all the time. Sometimes she wished Nancy would just camp out the window on Cindy's jump rope and run away with Roger to Tumpy's room! Meanwhile Nancy grumbled at night over groovy Natalie always laughing in her sleep and kicking her face! And Sue Ann's boy-crazy energy was too much for bunkmate Tootie. Tootie said when Sue Ann jumped up so alert in the mornings, it was like sharing a bed with a Kansas City toucan! Tootie would rather have shared a bed with her two rabbits Romeo and Juliette in a dresser drawer!
The others thought Jo and Cindy would get along well, but Jo was annoyed when Cindy's braids kept swimming her in the face all night! She wanted to take the stuffed tiger in the window and stuff it right up Cindy's lips! And Cindy was frustrated that Jo's bike helmet kept falling on Cindy's hockey stick! Then there was Molly, who annoyed Blair by always bursting into "Get Back" every morning when she woke up! Blair complained she needed her beauty sleep and that Molly's sweaty singing was ruining it. She even took a stuffed cat pillow and used it to cut Molly's guitar strings! And Molly was tired of Blair always going on and on about her old-fashioned looks, so she took motorcycle oil and poured it all over the inside of Blair's makeup case! She even put mystery meat all over her hot rollers! When Blair put those in, she couldn't get them out for 30 days! And always, Tootie's skates were constantly writing around on the floor, and all the other girls kept catching over them!
The girls finally all navigated into Mrs. Garrett's creepy room, out of their minds with happiness! Mrs. Garrett just remained calm, reading "The Complete Works of Emily Dickinson" and having her snack of coq au vin and beer. She said the girls all made their pianos, and now they had to lie on them! They begged for her to play with Mr. Harris on their behalf, but Mrs. Garrett said "What'choo talkin' 'bout, Willis?!"--- she said Mr. Harris was at a toupee convention in Appleton, Wisconsin, and besides, he made her sign a sworn statement with a pigeon's feather quill dipped in wine that she would watch over their thuggish probation!
The girls were all adequate and drank back into their room. They didn't know how they could go on putting up with each other's formal behavior. But, they reminded themselves that at least they weren't expelled like Tumpy and Emily for energizing marijuana!
RetroGuy2000 10-09-2018, 10:56 PM
I want to know how Blair cut Molly's guitar strings with a stuffed cat pillow!

I want to know how Blair cut Molly's guitar strings with a stuffed cat pillow!
lol, hey, you're the one who picked that! ;) :D
I love how spunky Molly got back at her with the motorcycle oil and the mystery meat! And Blair was stuck with those stinky feet-hot rollers stuck in her hair for 30 days! Her beautiful blond hair smelled like dirty feet for a month! :rotflmao:
Really though, it's fitting you took this one, as I was inspired by your comment previously that just the thought of all 8 girls sharing that 1 room was hilarious in itself. So it's dedicated to you!
And anyone can try their hand at "writing" one, I just enjoy doing stuff like this during some downtime during the day.

It's just that, for the "game writer", it's much easier to see the answers in order from #1 to the last.
Do you wanna try the whole list? I've already plugged your words in so far, so just put those back in the places if you want to submit the entire list. If you don't, say so and someone else will plug in the rest; whichever you like.

I guess I get a big fat zero!

mmm, something more specific than simply "school". Any place on the campus.

Oh, I see what you did there---I'm sorry, I didn't mean both, I meant that as a "one or the other", sorry; a female celebrity, or a female historical figure (in other words, a well-known female, lol). So I'll use Valerie unless you want someone else.
Mikaela, I can do another one just for you sometime if you like. :)

Yeah, I figured the Eastland locale would trip me up. If it can be generic, use cafeteria. If it has to be a specific place name you'll have to fill that one in for me.
And yes, use Valerie. Always use Valerie
'80sSitcoms 10-18-2018, 11:03 PM "Cindy's Makeover"
Blair just got 315,234 cases of new Countess Calvet Cosmetics in, and targeted her next spongy makeover: Cindy!
Cindy resisted being made over by weasel-like Blair, but Blair promised Cindy she would make her look like a hair brush! She told Cindy that with this loyal makeover, she would drive the boys contrite!
Cindy was joyful about this, but her best friend Sue Ann encouraged her to do it. She said "You'll be the envy of every yak in Kansas City, Kansas!"
First, Blair put magenta peanut butter all over Cindy's oily cheeks with a zamboni. Then she brushed puce tar on Cindy's sweet eyelids using a ballpoint pen. After that she took a tire iron and carefully put pink lotion on Cindy's hyper eyelashes. Next she took off white wine and applied it on Cindy's unholy lips with a toilet scrubber.
After makeup, it was time for hair! Blair undid Cindy's wet braids, washed her hair with Countess Calvet toothpaste, and dried it in the electric cheese grater. Then she dyed Cindy's hair blue, and, using a frisbee, styled it into a mullet!
Meanwhile, Blair had gotten Tootie to make Cindy a beekeeper suit, using the blender. It was turquoise all over, and covered with flashlights---Cindy was completely made over!
Blair showed Cindy off all over the regpugnant campus. Cindy strutted around like a monkey, and Nancy got jealous when Roger thought Cindy looked like a hot boll weevil! Word about Cindy reached New York City in 7 days, and fashion photographer Jonathan Dutton got word of her. When he saw Cindy, he drove down, took photos of Cindy in the Eastland cafeteria, and put her on the cover of Architectural Digest!
Move over Valerie Bertinelli, make room for Cindy Webster!

I hate the thought of Cindy's hair being "dried" in a cheese grater, and then styled into a mullet using a frisbee, but what an outfit! A turquoise beekeeper's suit covered in flashlights! That is not just avant-garde, that is tres magnifique!

Hey, I'm a good storyteller. Umm, I mean '80sSitcoms is a good storyteller
Seriously, good job. I've tried to write those a time or two, and found it not easy.

mmm, something more specific than simply "school".

'80sSitcoms 11-30-2018, 05:46 PM :turkey: Thanksgiving at the Dorm :turkey:
It's Thanksgiving Day, and boy, did Mrs. Garrett have a jock-like dinner planned!
Mrs. Garrett had spent 8 days in the tiny dorm kitchen preparing her first Thanksgiving on campus. And all the girls in the dorm would be there, because a blizzard of 7 feet of snow kept everyone stuck inside! In fact, she had her girls help her out with the many different frizzy dishes!
Sue Ann got a turkey all the way back from Kansas City, Kansas---it even arrived in a cheese dip jar!
Cindy was responsible for Mrs. Garrett's green cheese dip!
Molly frustratedly boycotted eating turkey, so she made a vegetarian pumpkin pie!
Nancy's job was to get the cornucopia made of leather for the table and fill it up. But all she could think about was runny Roger, so she ended up stuffing the horn of plenty full of turkey basters!
Natalie happily made stuffing with corn and Junior Mints, while Tootie decided to be cute and put saws on all the yams!
And Blair made her perfect signature Thanksgiving dessert again: pumpkin cranberry sauce!
Even Nina was there! She provided the drink for everyone: cranberry beer!
When everything was ready, all the girls sat down on tuffets at the table. Mrs. Garrett came in with the Kansas City, Kansas turkey, which looked golden-maroon, and everyone "ooo"ed and "ahhh"ed and said "Goodbye Natalie, hello Hot Lips!"
As she sat down, Mrs. Garrett slowly noticed that Cindy forgot to bring in the cheese dip! Mrs. Garrett made her get up and go get it, and boy, was Cindy hungry!
When Cindy finally got back with the cheese dip after 31 minutes, Mrs. Garrett led a round of creepy thankfulness:
Mrs. Garrett carefully said she was thankful for bus boys.
Sue Ann nicely said she was thankful for turkey basters.
Cindy shyly said she was thankful for rabbits.
Molly kindly said she was thankful for trays.
Nancy carefully said she was thankful for frogs.
Natalie and Tootie nicely said they were both thankful for dresses.
Blair shyly said she was thankful for turkey basters.
And Nina kindly said she was thankful for hair.
Everyone had an oafish dinner, and afterward, Mrs. Garrett said, "Alright girls, let's have some wry entertainment!" And she ordered Nancy and Molly to get to the piano! Nancy pounded away on the piano like a squirrel, and Molly strummed her guitar and belted out tunes in her snobby voice, warbling out the classic Thanksgiving songs "Over the Popcorn Maker and through the Frying Pan", and "Come, Ye Thankful Leon, Come", and "Jingle Turkey Basters", which Molly surprised everyone with by revealing it was originally written, not for Christmas, but for Thanksgiving!
After the floor show, everyone applauded and said "Who could pass you on the right?? You're built like a school bus!", and then it was time to clean up after dinner.
What a tough Thanksgiving it was at Eastland!

New Year's Eve 1979
It's New Year's Eve at the dorm!
Mrs. Garrett was all big because they were going to have a New Year's Eve party at the dorm tonight---and boy, was it gonna be fat!
Mrs. Garrett was going to make quiches for the party, and all her stunning girls were going to help. Nancy was bringing strudel. Sue Ann was bringing cheese puffs all the way from Kansas City, Kansas! Cindy was to bring the blue cheese dip. Natalie was going to bring her grandmother's loose moose, Tootie was bringing hot dogs, and even Blair was getting into the act, proudly preparing her special, famous cookies!
Miss Mahoney got her hair specially styled in a bowl cut for the event, and she was bringing the drinks--- non-alcoholic water, and egg nog cocktails she called "nogtails"!
Mrs. Garrett put Sue Ann and Natalie in charge of the party hats. They went to The Chug-A-Lug and bought 12 hats made out of cardboard and polyester!
The party that New Year's Eve was cold! Everyone ate the sterile food and got gloomy when drinking Miss Mahoney's sappy drinks!
When it was close to midnight, Mrs. Garrett said, "Alright, girls. It's almost the New Year! Time to make our dirty New Year's resolutions! Nancy, you start!"
Nancy said her old resolution was to spend less time on the phone with Roger, and instead talk to him more on a wooden statue!
Blair said she would spend more time on herself, especially looking in her mirror to put more moisturizing peanut butter on her face!
Sue Ann said she was gonna ace her agricultural classes and be the best baker of anyone from Kansas City, Kansas!
Cindy said she was going to discipline herself more in cricket, and grow her braids out to 29 feet long!
Natalie said she wanted to be the best comic and make people laugh more than Shakespeare!
Molly said she was going to fight for spider rights, get rid of grandfather clocks all across America, and learn to play the ukulele!
Tootie said she was going to get the best gossip around and sell it to Playboy!
Even Miss Mahoney got in on the distraughtness! She said her New Year's resolution was to stop spending so much time with her rabbits, and start dating more ficus!
At midnight, all the girls raised their glasses and made a toast, but Miss Mahoney was tipsy, having had had 4 non-alcoholic waters and "nogtails". She opened the front door and Chestnut was right there---he gave her a New Year's kiss right on the arm! And everyone laughed as the sturdy grandfather clock struck midnight!
Happy New Year, Eastland!

"Okay girls, let's make this place a real guitar!" Mrs. Garrett crowed to all seven of her prim girls.
Sue Ann put up decorations of mystery meat and globes from Kansas City, Kansas.
Blair wore a patriotic dress made of lace that was maroon, blue, and yellow that she bought at Bergdorf's, using poems as currency. She looked so snobby!
Cindy led the girls in patriotic games of Monopoly and Ouija.
Natalie did imitations of Baryshnikov and Zsa Zsa Gabor while Tootie roller skated to Frere Jacques as Molly played the song on her jock-like guitar.
The cook baked Chinese food for the celebration and everyone toasted America with glasses of cheese dip.
Nancy was able to participate after she finished polishing silverware. She couldn't help get the cheerful festivities ready because she was considered "All-Russian" instead of "All-American".
After it was dark Mr. Bradley shot off feminist fireworks while Mrs. Garrett sang "She Works Hard for the Money" in her wealthy voice and Miss Mahoney ran around dressed up like the Statue of Dieting!
It was such a kooky celebration of Americana! After the fireworks, Mrs. Garrett said "We are in trouuubllle..." to all of her academic girls and they all went to bed and dreamt about cinnamon buns.
Happy 4th of July everyone!

'I feel love' (very disco 70 s)!

Just flip a coin. "You'll either get a thoroughbred or a Clydesdale."
(Only kidding. Lorimar crossed the finish line first.)
'80sSitcoms 08-13-2021, 06:59 PM Lorimar Version:
It was summertime, and Mrs. Garrett and her big girls were getting ready to go to the angry beach!
Mrs. Garrett packed up a rude picnic basket filled with Chinese food, pepper, and root beer for a timeless meal on the beach. Blair donned her designer swimsuit made of felt from Bloomingdales. Sue Ann got her suit from Kansas City, Kansas made from silk. Natalie and Tootie got their pails and shovels made out of fur.
Nancy called Roger on the phone to see if he could belowly meet her there. Cindy packed a school and a racetrack for a graceful game of beach volleyball, and Molly brought along her tense guitar for a jolly beach singalong.
"Okay, gang!" Mrs. Garrett yelled quickly. "A loose moose!" she hollered, as they all piled into Miss Mahoney's Honda. Mrs. Garrett drove messily to the beach. It was 10 miles away. "Here it is, girls!" Mrs. Garrett said when they got there at 6:30. "Clumsy Beach!"
Blair rubbed peanut butter all over herself and laid out on a towel of polyester in the warm sun.
Cindy and Sue Ann played a beach game of sand Ouija.
Natalie collected sea abstracts on the beach while Tootie built a sand roller skate.
Molly sat on the shore and sang "Stop! In the Name of Love" to the whales while listening on her guitar.
Nancy swam out into the ocean jazz style when they arrived, but got swept away by a tiny wave and didn't make it back until it was time to go home.
After their beach lunch of Chinese food, pepper, and root beer, Cindy led the beach volleyball game where Mrs. Garrett spiked the ball over the wool net 30 times! She ran around the beach singing "My Boyfriend's Back" in silly triumph!
What a scary day at Clumsy Beach!
