stevea 03-16-2018, 05:16 PM I thought the girls' reaction to seeing Wally was a little over-acted. As was Mary-Ellen's father's reaction.
Scrabjan1 03-18-2018, 11:36 AM Good answers and all right. I also thought Mr. Rogers’s reaction was over the top as he knew Wally I’m sure. Mr. Rogers told the Cleavers to get rid of the dead horse.
The girls acted like he was a matinee idol.

stevea 03-18-2018, 06:55 PM Re c: I think Mr. Gibson also answers the phone (Clarence's gag call) as "Gibson's Drug Store."
Scrabjan1 03-18-2018, 08:49 PM Wow two names and I thought it was called Mayfield Drugs.
Schmoopie 07-31-2019, 06:31 PM OMG, I felt so bad for Wally during this episode but I was cheering when he poured that ice cream over Lumpy and Eddie! I was not expecting that at all!
stevea 07-31-2019, 09:02 PM And of course Lumpy yells for Daddy.
Scrabjan1 08-01-2019, 03:52 PM It was a very good episode as it was so out of character for straight laced Wally. Love how Wally has to repeat the ice cream flavors and sandwiches to Eddie. I guess Eddie became rather unpopular with MaryEllen’s father as he’s not invited to the masquerade party in Beaver’s Long Night.
stevea 08-01-2019, 07:01 PM Good thing Wally didn't go to the masquerade. Some possible dialog from Mary Ellen's father: "You get outta here. I recognize you in that bunny suit! You weren't invited and you know it!"
Also had he gone he might not have been home yet for June's stupid questions. "Do you know who might have called the police? Mr. Rutherford is very upset." Uh, June, it's called process of elimination. Figure it out. Who was home and always gets in trouble?
Scrabjan1 08-04-2019, 10:34 AM June was especially flaky in this one. Could it have been your brother, Beaver? Now why would they have her say that? I love how all of a sudden Pine Avenue changes to Pine Street. Wonder why Gilbert was in this one and not Richard or Whitey.
Love how Gilbert and Beaver run upstairs to the room and the door is shut and Gilbert is very loud saying we can’t tell Wally we called the cops on his friends. Couldn’t Wally hear it?
stevea 08-04-2019, 12:25 PM Unwritten sitcom rule: no one ever hears anything said on the other side of a door.
Scrabjan1 08-15-2019, 07:58 AM LOL. Also there is always a parking spot right outside the place they are headed. The grocery bag will always have some vegetable sticking out of the top of the bag like carrot greens.
stevea 08-15-2019, 08:21 AM Here's another rule: our leads go into a doctor's or dentist's office. And there are always other people waiting. Our stars always get called pretty quickly and before the others.
(I think one Beaver episode that actually dealt with this was when Ward took Beaver to the dentist, and Fred said he and Violet were there early.)
I want to go to a doctor's office that's part of a sitcom!
Scrabjan1 08-15-2019, 07:58 PM Me too. Love how everyone looks at the phone when it rings.
Today watching Double Date Wally kept putting both hands in his tight pants’ pockets and stretching the front. Reminded me of Mr. Bean when he gets the front of his pants wet from the sink and humps the hot air blower to dry it. Later once it’s totally dry he’s so glad he goes into the meeting showing his front to everyone.

stevea 08-15-2019, 08:24 PM LOL.
Never noticed the Wally thing. A rejected title for this episode could be "Beaver the Eavesdropper."
mrbreezeet1 08-22-2019, 03:28 AM And of course Lumpy yells for Daddy.
Yes, That was Funny. Lumpy always acted like a baby.
OMG, I felt so bad for Wally during this episode but I was cheering when he poured that ice cream over Lumpy and Eddie! I was not expecting that at all!
Funny how season One, Lumpy used to bully Wally.
2 0r 3 seasons later. Lumpy was afraid of Wally
Scrabjan1 08-22-2019, 08:54 AM Another think that always happens in sitcoms or any drama if they’re in the woods at night you’ll always hear the sound of the call of the wolf.
