Now, why her character of Myrna Gibbons got dumped along with the characters ofDoris's sons when they decided to remake Doris as 'MISS' Doris Martin, I have no idea (and don't think it was a good turn) but it didn't seem to hurt the performers' friendship!

McLean Stevenson's & Paul Smith's characters were dumped at the same time as Rose Marie's and the kids'. It seems as though there was almost no continuity from Season 3 to Season 4, other than maybe an appearance or 2 by Billy DeWolfe & Doris' landlords (Kaye Ballard & Bernie Kopell).
