AMackII 11-18-2017, 10:19 PM I think the network had an unique decade long run. Retro4Life 11-18-2017, 10:26 PM It was a great concept with poor execution. I love horror films and television shows, but 90 percent of their programming was stuff I had never heard of; low budget (more like zero budget) forgettable stuff that was so bland it didn't even register. Then, of course, when they DID feature a high profile film, they edited it so much for adult content that it was just a shadow of its real self. Too bad; there's a market for a well programmed horror channel out there. KRW 11-18-2017, 10:28 PM I'm gonna miss it. They used to play some pretty good horror movies in its earlier years. Torgo 11-19-2017, 12:34 AM I watched a few shows on it like the Friday The 13th TV series. Didn't watch the movies as I hate editing. The best horror themed channel was MonstersHD, 24-7 uncut-commercial free horror movies, a wide range of mainstream to the lesser known. NOW that's a channel I miss. I'd print out a schedule every month and highlight the movies I wanted to record. Sigh. Retro4Life 11-19-2017, 12:58 AM I watched a few shows on it like the Friday The 13th TV series. It was available via satellite dish (which we didn't have) but a friend of mine had it. It didn't last very long. MA 11-19-2017, 10:34 AM Did they ever air The Outer Limits? It didn't last very long. I don't. That would have been awesome. I know the UK has a channel also called Horror Channel, seems it's what Chiller could have been. Retro4Life 11-19-2017, 01:34 PM Did they ever air The Outer Limits? Not that I am aware of; then again, I think I lost the channel a few years back, and don't even have satellite (or cable) now. LOL KRW 11-19-2017, 02:58 PM Did they ever air The Outer Limits? MeTV is currently airing the original series. Last I knew Comet was airing the remake. MA 11-19-2017, 05:49 PM Is Comet still airing the remake? |
