Swimfan85 05-11-2002, 11:57 PM we watched some in school before....lol and I was Degrassi the next generation... mamamiasweetpeaches 05-12-2002, 04:29 PM This was my favorite show as a teenager!!!!Why they ever stopped playing it,I'll never know.I just found out something strange:that when they used to play this on PBS they censored it AND stopped showing episodes before they showed them all.I believe the last one they showed was The Fire one....which I always assunmed was the last one.Theres also a Degrassi movie that wraps up all the loose ends and tells you what happend to everyone. This stuff is for sale on amazon.com and half.com.I just ordered myself the Degrassi High boxed set for my birthday so I can re-live the experience.I'll show it to my daughter Cailtlyn(Yes...named after a Degrassi charactor!) when she's old enough to understand. JOEY JEREMIAH ROCKS!!!!!!!! missbud2 05-14-2002, 09:31 PM It is so cool to find another Degrassi fan. That is so cool that you named your daughter after Caitlyn. I have always loved that name. Have you got your tapes yet? If so, is it like you remembered? I actually have been on Amazon.com & Half.com looking at the tapes for the last couple weeks. I would love to get the whole series, but I havent decided whether I want to spend that much money on it yet. The Jr. High & High series plus movie would be like $350.00. That is a lot to spend, but I bet it would be worth it. :) Plata 05-15-2002, 06:12 PM I watched some original Degrassi High when it aired back in the 90s in Canada, either on Global which was then STV or CBC. I'm not sure. Anyway, the show was pretty good. I think the New Generation show sucks. I can't stand it! The original Degrassi High was so much better. mamamiasweetpeaches 05-19-2002, 04:26 PM Originally posted by missbud2 It is so cool to find another Degrassi fan. HIGH set....yet.I'm sure I will one day.I got mine at half.com for about $90- which is good cuz amazon.com gets $130- Maybe I can make you copies when I get it(it didnt come yet!!!). I'm ashamed to admitt I havent seen the new ones yet.My daughter usually gets the reomte so its usually Spongebob all night long.I heard some of the original charactors are in the new one.WELL NOW I HAVE TO SEE THAT!!!I guess I'll start taping them on Monday. Well, its great to meet other DEGRASSI FANS!!!!!I LOVE THIS SITE!(p.s:you can find more Degrassi fans on yesterdayland.com) danielle black 08-20-2002, 09:27 PM Originally posted by missbud2 Does anyone remember the original series? If it was in the early 90's then i don't know why i missed it, was it syndicated in America or did it air on a network? was it daytime or primetime? was it an American series? i just started watching the Next Generation on Noggin and its good? is it as good as the original or is it a cheap rip-off that comes nowhere close to being as good as the original series? danielle black 08-21-2002, 09:44 PM Originally posted by factsoflife You now i've never seen the original, when did it air originally? Thanks. that helps a lot. vipers8993 09-22-2005, 08:24 PM Who here likes the character Luke? I like him, despite the fact he gave Shane acid! vipers8993 09-23-2005, 04:13 PM My favourite episode of Junior High is probably "Great Expectations" because Joey's really funny in that episode. I like episodes that feature him in a leading role(other examples are "Fight!" and "Pa-arty!"). I also like Wheels(who played Griff on KDS) episodes, including "Parents Night". The Chauffeur 10-12-2005, 01:00 PM Did anyone see Spike's mom in the DJH series? I was watching the ep last night where Spike and her mom had dinner with the family of the father of her baby, was it me or did she really resemble Spike as she is in the Next Generation series? I watched THEEE ORIGINAL DEGRASSI on PBS. This is back in the 70's!!!!!!These are the episodes I want to see. Does anyone know if these are going to be shown? Are they available on DVD? I was shocked (in that era) with the topics that were being shown. The Chauffeur 10-12-2005, 02:25 PM I watched THEEE ORIGINAL DEGRASSI on PBS. This is back in the 70's!!!!!!These are the episodes I want to see. Does anyone know if these are going to be shown? Are they available on DVD? I was shocked (in that era) with the topics that were being shown. Do you mean the Kids of Degrassi Street? I was wondering that as well. Ireneparalegal 10-12-2005, 05:53 PM hmmmm...the title I remember is Degrassi Jr. High, it could have been called something else on another PBS station. But maybe it is the same one. Like I said, this is the original, the start of this series. I used to watch this along with ZOOM back in the 70's. The Chauffeur 10-13-2005, 12:57 AM Kids on Degrassi Street was the start of the series, that one started in the 70's. Degrassi Jr High began in the 80's. I remember they did show DJH and DH as well, but they showed them around 6pm. Storywriter 10-13-2005, 11:10 PM DJH started in 1987 and Degrassi High I think was 1989.I was kinda young than but I watch them now on The N and like it so much better than TNG.. arnoldtoddfan 11-12-2005, 06:26 PM I just finished taping the entire series a few weeks ago.it currently airs on bcb kids!:) metalrose5 02-27-2006, 02:52 AM One of my favorite scenes of Degrassi Junior High is when Yick is trying to teach Arthur karate and he accidentally kicks the janitor. Will and Grace Fanatic 08-14-2006, 12:04 PM when I was younger I use to watch some show on Nickelodeon I know it had a lot of drama. Just can't remember what it was called. It may have been the original degrassi but not sure. I would have to see a few episodes of degrassi to determine. It was back in the later 80's and early 90's. canuckkidd 12-05-2006, 11:59 PM I have most of the DJH and DH episodes on tape. I grew up watching this show. It was always on Monday nights at 8:00 on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation). :) This is the one show that I can remember every episode vividly. I haven't seen an episode of Kids of Degrassi, I was too young during the time it originally aired. 80s_Fan 01-22-2007, 06:35 PM Does anybody know when "Degrassi High" will be released.
